Kingsley Curtis, who died in 2015, was the pioneering chairman of refrigeration company HRP. He bought his first classic car in 1963 – a 1924 Bean 11.9 parked outside the White Cross pub in Richmond. Other cars from the collection include a 1923 Bentley 3-Litre TT Replica, a 1960 Maserati 3500 GT, 1981 Aston Martin V8 Volante, 1923 Rolls-Royce 20hp, and a 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth.

Barn-find Ferrari sells for £12.1m at Artcurial auction 11 Feb 2015 (News)
A 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider sold for £12.1m at auction. The car was part of Artcurial’s sale at this year’s Retromobile, held in Paris from 6-7 February. The auction included a 59 classics from the Ballion collection. Roger Baillon, an industrialist from the west of France, had saved many of the cars from the scrapyard.
