  having some problems with a bmw 2.8i 1996 coupe the abs is kicking in under normal braking although no abs warning light is on or coming on even when braking anyone any ideas?

  I have a late 1999 (v reg) BMW 3 series 1900cc with 20,000 miles and the heater only blows cold air. 12 months ago I noticed the temperature gauge was eratic but it settled down to normal range. What is the problem?

  Fitted to my ex - 330d. 1. Business radio connected to a CD stack (BMW). Stopped working for a good three weeks. Fuses checked all in order, stack still working. Started working all on its own, any ideas ? 2. Acquired a replacement radio in the event of future faliure how does one go about removing the existing radio ?

  I want to import a 1998 BMW 316i from South Africa to UK. I have answers to all concerns except the following: I've been told by a dealer in SA that the cost of changing the speedometer and odometer km. to miles as required by DVLCC is 'prohibitive' but they cannot give me any speciifc figure.

  A quick question on BMW 320I engines. I'm choosing between a 1991 H and 1992 J model- My question is, will the 1992 E36 model have the same engine as the 1991 E30 model, or did they change the engines between the E30 and E36 models and them change them again in 1994 to have the chain cam version?

  A friend of mine has an automatic gearbox fault on his 1990 BMW 520. When put into DRIVE, it will go only about 50 yards before the transmission disconnects and the engine revs freely. If he then selects REVERSE the car refuses to move ……until the front end is bounced up and down a few times!

  I read that M1 stands for "mid-engine car, first type". But that was BMW's only mid-engine production car. Now they say the M in M3 and M5 stands for "motorsport". What is the deal? Did they just change what it means after the M1 because they didn't want to make anymore mid-engine cars?

  I understand BMW are recommending Castrol TWS (10W-60) for use in the M3 & M5`s, because of excessive oil consumption using the ultra thin SLX (0W-30). Have Googled a search without much success and was wondering if any B.R`s know what sort of price this oil retails in comparison to SLX.??

  BMW assist are just about to pay their 4th visit in 2 years to me to try and sort out jamming door locks on frosty mornings. Basically I can get in but the door then won't latch shut. No amount of WD40 seems to sort the problem, am i alone in experiencing this?

  Hi All, I'm just looking for some opinions/advice on the following situation regarding my wifes car (66 plate 520)-  Coming up for 2 years ago, she got rear-ended at a roundabout.  All repairs carried out under other persons insurance at local BMW dealer.  No problem.  Fast forward to approx 6 weeks ago.  The car cuts out completely in outside lane of motorway while wife is driving to work.  Eventually car recovered back to local BMW dealer.
