  I want to get some Xenon lights on my next car. I hate driving in the dark on unlit roads. With dipped lights it can be very hard to see and I often need to slow down. Some people seem to moan about being blinded by them. What do people think, are they really that bad or are they really useful?

  Ford Focus - the speedo, rev counter, temp gauge and fuel gauge suddenly go to zero while driving and then come back to normal. Occasionally the engine warning light will come on for a minute and sometimes the ignition warning light does the same. Engine performance is not affected. It is probably a dodgy connection - but WHERE?

  They seem to drive slower than other HGVs and to get stuck behind one on an A road is just what you don't need if you're running late.  Tesco seems the slowest but that maybe just my experience . So are they governed more strictly by their companies or tachos or something, or are they worried about breaking the eggs?

  Hi there, I am currently having a problem with my 05 Ibiza. When I change gear and when I am driving I hear a kind of propellor noise coming from the car.   Anyone got any ideas what this might be?   Thanks in advance.

  can anyone advise what sort of problem this is, my oil pressure drops down to zero and i get a rattling noise like a cam noise when driving,, once engine is switched off it clears itself and doesnt happen for a few days.

  The decision is to go for either a (lower mileage / newer) 1.8 petrol or the 2.2 diesel.   Leaving aside the difference of driving them (driven both - both are fine for me) which is the most reliable / trouble free engine?  Thanks.

  Hi, My daughters handbrake got stuck on the other day and I thought that it was because of the rain we had. First gear, bang and away she goes. Today, same thing after driving to the end of the road. She tried to reverse and it's stuck again.....and then again....Any ideas? Pablo

  Anyone got one of these models,occassionally i can hear two audible beeps while driving not to loud but high pitched,i have looked through the owners manual but there is nothing in there,anyone got any idea what it could be,any help would be most appreciated. Cheers

  Who needs a 4 x 4 in London ? Who doesn't in this weather ,. Was explaining this to a neighbour who told me he wouldn't dare drive in these conditions. Told him I had no issue with my Nissan 4 x 4 . Go anywhere. Same as in Feb this year.

  What will cause a battery light to stay on whilst driving? the battery charges ok and the diesel engine has no trouble starting. could it be a loose earth somewhere?

  Well, I`ve serviced both of ours on the drive earlier this month. Done the door lock, oil leak and EGR. Hopefully that`s it and they will be OK now until a warm day in March/April for the next oil changes. How about you?

  Now that they cost the same per litre, does it make more sense to go diesel, or do the complications of a modern diesel engine still outway the economy benefits ( for a private buyer at least!). I remember reading that you need to drive around 15k per year to see diesel benefits, that must be much less now?

  The Stoneleigh kit car show is on this weekend in Warwickshire. Even if you abhor the thought of driving scaffolding or a re-worked fibreglass bathtub the cars can be quite fun to see. We might go on Sunday or Monday if I can get out of decorating/gardening/etc........ ;-)

  We keep being told speed cameras are safety cameras in places which warrant safer driving. And that they are not revenue raising. Well if that's the case, why don't the government introduce countdown markers leading up to them, thus preventing sudden breaking, and making drivers aware that the cameras are being approached.

  Are CB and ham radios covered by the same legislation as mobile phones? (i.e. fines for using one while driving?)
