Hyundai Tucson - Diesel Particulate Filter in Hyundai Tucson 22 Jun 2018 (Forum)
However I just assumed the miles I do (short infrequent trips with occasional motorway journeys, with a total of 4-5k miles per year) would limit my choice to the petrol engine. However speaking to someone today who has a diesel tucson (his is automatic) and they do similar mileage to me with no issues or concerns regarding the DPF. They seem to think the Tucson DPF is designed in such a way that it doesn't require regular regeneration or cleaning and low mileage should be less of an issue. -

the dealers guide to scams..... 21 Nov 2017 (Forum)
It was quite a game as the service manager knew exactly what was coming after each service. But he was powerless to stop the system from automatically charging for the item, and had to put through a manual refund each time. I wonder how many other small items are used to scam punters? You only need a couple more like this one to pay for the managers annual salary. -
ALTEA SE TDI (105)/ 2011 - 1.6TDI - 89000miles - issues with Seat Altea - diesel Auto - not moving 7 Oct 2017 (Forum)

1.8 Toyota Verso CVT fuel economy 23 Jul 2017 (Forum)
I purchased a 2014 Verso with a 1.8 CVT automatic gearbox a few months back. The fuel economy has been less than I expected especially considering the Real MPG on the site. A couple of weeks of daily short trips in London got me ~24mpg. Up the M25/M1 with AC on and speed around 80mph I achieved 32mpg; on the return journey at night using cruise control for large parts at 75mph and no AC I got 38mpg. -
Car - Car suggestions for a first time buyer! £3000 19 Jul 2017 (Forum)
I'm a first time buyer who has very little knowledge about cars and their configurations and would like some suggestions for a 'reliable car' with an automatic transmission and with an engine size between 1.6-2.0L, and for less than £3000. So far I've been suggested (by no car enthusiasts) the Ford Focus Zetec 1.6L and the BMW 320D 2.0L which both seem appealing enough, but I don't want to make any decisions without being consulted by someone who's more informed. -
Honda Shuttle/Odyssey - Bye bye Honda Shuttle - what next 28 Apr 2017 (Forum)
She's failed the MOT not only on various tyre/brake/suspension items but also on emissions of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and, for good measure, 'dense blue smoke.' So how can we hope to replace it ? My wife demands Japanese reliability in a petrol automatic with ample space for the approaching car boot season, and 7 seats for taking the family to Poland, and under £7000. Any thoughts? Mazda 5? Toyota Verso? Or stick with Honda http://www.exchangeandmart.co.uk/used-cars-for-sale/honda/shuttle/honda-shuttle-odyssey-absolute-2.4i-v-tec-18686815 or even a Shuttle http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201703012821700? -

Golf Match 1.6 TDI - 51,000 too high 2012 plate - or should I buy DSG 15 Sep 2015 (Forum)
If I didn’t go with this I could choose the later 2012 plate that has 30,000 on the clock but is £11,500 and is a DSG... Not too sure about DSGs as automatics are an unknown to me. I have always been told to go low milage with used cars - but then is 51,000 miles low or high for a diesel. Is the price a rip off. It is a usal VW dealership with the warrenty and roadside assist etc but I'm concerned I will be paying for it later on. -
