  Hi, Does anyone know the best way to get insurance cover for a single day? I've got to drive a friend's car up the country and although my policy gives me 3rd party I'd like to get fully comp on this car, just for the day. Thanks in advance, -- Lee Having a Fabialous time.

  Is there an equivalent of GSF but for Japanese cars? I've had the front indicator cover smashed on my Mazda 323 and I suspect I'll need a whole new indicator unit at no doubt astronomical cost. Just out of interest, which cars are the cheapest to buy parts for?

  I would hope it's an isolated incident but I am having second thoughts about moving to them for my own car when the VAG cover expires.

  My full yras premiun was £475. They have refunded me only £175 for aprrox 2.5 months of cover and charged me a cancellation fee after they cancelled the cover. I told them that was outrageous and the reply was thet I was charged on a temporay cover basis. I am fuming and feel completely ripped off by the insurance company.

  A few days later of having the car in October 2014,I recieved the paperwork from the dealer which stated a 5 year service plan as requested but to cover services in October 2015, 2016,2017,2018 and 2019 instead rather than July. The car wasn't serviced since it was delivered in July 2014.

  I?m hoping to pick up my new car on Saturday, but for the dealer to tax it he needs an insurance certificate or cover note. My insurer said it will not fax such a document to the dealer, and that?s the law. Is it? Bit of a devil if I needed a replacement car quickly due to a crash or suchlike-I?

  My first time at this so here goes ...... Bought a brand new Renault Scenic from a local car supermarket at good discounted price. Uk spec vehicle which they claim came direct from Renault BUT.... when I ask about the 3 year Renault Assistance breakdown cover that comes with all new Scenics they are claiming this will only apply to cars bought from a main dealer.

I think the car cover looks good value but not sure about it being held on the car by "elasticated edging". Does anyone have experience of this - does it hold or would the wind just get underneath and lift it off?

  Why doesn't the NCAP test cover them?  I've seen a car go up in flames instantly when such an accident happened at 40mph when the petrol tank was ruptured.  Fortunately the driver got out safely.  I don't think an electric car would be any better either, if the fragile lithium battery in a mobile phone can ignite when bent under an airline seat.

  I used to see this old guy in the local high street driving a Lada which was covered in red "go faster stripes" and huge fog lamps on the front. When I say old, I mean he must be in his 70's, trilby hat, tartan blanket on the parcel shelf etc. He has now upgraded his car to a Pug 407SW in that delightful met' blue.

  Just had renewal quote from AA  third year £220 due in a month. Same cover RAC £13 a month,.24 month contract.I My car AW169 is maintained to the last detail. There are many cheap providers but suspicious of standards. Any comments appreciated.

  I have a 2004 touran 2.0tdi - tonight there was a intermittent rattle from the timing belt area (under the cover) - the car has done 36000 miles the rattle / ticking gets worse when the lights are on thanks Dt
