  Missing Milly Car 28 Sep 2002 (News)
  Some Backroomers have speculated that the car which may have picked up the murdered Milly Dowler from Walton on Thames Station was a Renault Laguna. The photo above is the closest match I could make. It’s a facelift Laguna RXE current from May 1998 (‘R’ reg) to April 2000 (‘W’ reg). This model had circular foglights and a protruding spoiler, though it doesn’t seem to protrude as much as on the car in the photo.

  A 59,000 mile 2000W Mazda Premacy 1.8Gxi MPV for £4,600, a 60,000 mile 98S Honda Legend 3.5 V6 auto with all the bits bid to £6,575; a 27,000 mile 2001X Volvo 2.4T (200bhp) auto bid to just £11,450; a 34,000 mile 2000W Galant 2.5V6 auto with leather sold for £6,600; an 18,000 mile 2000V Renault Kangoo 1.4RXE Combi sold for £3,925 and, wait for it, a 2000W (didn’t catch the mileage) KIA Clarus 2.0GSX sold for a mere £2,650. Not everything went that way, though.

  MPVs remain very much in favour with £6,600 paid for a clean but 107,000 mile 98R Honda Shuttle 2.3LS 7-seater; £5,000 paid for a 60,000 mile 96N Peugeot 806 SRDT 7-seater; £10,650 paid for a 49,000 mile 98R Galaxy Ghia TDI 110 7-seater; and a whopping £13,850 paid for a 31,000 mile 98S normal length Renault Espace 2.2RXE TD with a roof box. Last week a 19,000 mile 99T Renault Grande Espace 2.2RT manual with CD and leather made full book at £14,975, but seemed like a bargain in comparison. A 113,000 mile 98R air-conditioned BMW 318iS Coupe in the usual, Silver sold for a high £7,750, which compared unfavourably with £8,400 paid for a same age by 80,000 mile example last week.

According to the vendor, apart from the upgraded Scorpion stainless steel exhaust, the car is 100% original, and still has the stereo and cassette holder it was equipped with in the factory. It could fetch between £5000-£7000.
