If so, what are the probable consequences? I've looked on the Pepipoo site, but there's nothing specific about the Camera Gang admitting their NIPs got lost in the post. TIA -
DoT stumbles on the truth 2 Oct 2004 (Forum)
Excessive speed was involved in two fifths of loss-of-control accidents, suggesting that it could have been the prime reason in no more than 18 per cent all all crashes causing death and serious injury. The research called into question the dominance of anti-speed measures such as cameras and road humps in recent road safety policy. The study was published as the Government released figures showing that, despite the investment in cameras, road deaths rose by two per cent last year to 3,508, the highest level for six years." -

Renault Megane - Incorrect dashboard speed limit display 7 Dec 2018 (Forum)
However, it does seem to get some temporary roadworks limits correct so it must be using either a camera or some form of map which is updated regularly. Surely with a camera system, if it can't accurately decide what the limit is due to dirt on the sign/camera etc. , it should display nothing rather than display something incorrect. -
Cousin caught on speeding camera 14 Dec 2013 (Forum)
(stopped at a take away and I went in and she drove away.. not impressed)... 10days later had a NIP turns up in the post that shes been flashed by the speed camera doing 35 on 30(gave her a mouthful). I have given her UK address on the NIP and sent that back and she recieved an NIP and she agreed that it was her and sent that back as well. She has a non - GB licence. -
any - 80 mph limit on motorways 20 Mar 2011 (Forum)
And some of those are white van men, but get to Cardiff east to newport east and the limit is 50 with lots and lots of average speed cameras so all of a sudden everyone is doing 50. Surely the powers that be can invest in a few more (400) cameras for the rest of the M4, 200 each way and then set the cameras to nick anyone over 80, european levels of fines (makes your eyes water!) -
Here we go...... 7 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Every dealing I have ever had with Traffic Police has been, at the least, polite and professional. It has frequently been an excellent service. I think speed cameras are a good idea and there should be thousands of the things everywhere; they should be hidden, camouflaged, disguised and generally there to catch people. I think an awful lot of the speed limits in this country are a nonsense, and I long for the day when the camera fools stop whining about cameras and work out that the real issue is the speed limits. -

Surely if one happens to be away abroad for some time and a speed camera ticket is issued [to which one cannot reply], one should not be arrested immediately on return?! -
