  • '54 Fiat Punto Dynamic 1.2 S-A (Dualogic) - Good money after bad? 29 Nov 2015 (Forum)
Engine failure warnings, airbag check warnings, max temp warnings, power steering failures... I changed the battery as it was struggling to start with all this going on. This made no difference and even with a brand new battery it sometimes doesnt start. If the car stalls due to the gearbox now, she has to wait ten minutes for it to suddenyl decide it will turn over.

  • SEAT Leon - Please HELP!! Leon MK1 TDI (109 bhp) not starting 10 Feb 2012 (Forum)
Since then its been parked and I had a mobile mechanic come to have a look at it a few days ago. He thought everything was ok mechanically. Battery had died so he tried to jump start but the engine tried to turn over very sluggishly and could not start. He thought that the starter wasn't getting enough power to fully turn over and start the engine so I need to show it to an electrician.

  • DPF-Short trips-alternative solutions 14 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I suppose solutions will be found, but it seems as though there is an argument, as never before to put money into that "working tool" of the stop start , pre DPF, diesel and not let it pass out of your hands, until better solutions, such as pure battery short range cars are cheaply available. Further thoughts on solutions. Looking at our own needs, my wife`s Punto could be replaced with a *simple* battery car of the same size, with a speed of 40 mph and range of twenty miles at 30mph.
