  • Entries open for Pride of Ownership final at NEC classic motor show 30 Jul 2019 (News)
Just 20 vehicles will be selected for the grand finale display at the November show where visitors will vote for their favourite. The winners and two runners up all receive trophies and a year’s free car insurance from Lancaster Insurance up to the value of £250 (T&Cs apply). The overall winner will also be offered the chance to display their car at the next event held by the organisers. For this competition, it’s the story the owner and the car have shared that will be taken into consideration by the judging panel, rather than being a concours queen (although the standard of the car is still important).
  • A Grand Monday: Rover 45 CVT 1 Oct 2018 (News)
That means you're at least partly interested in this week's pick of the classifieds , so hopefully you'll stay with us while we explain why it's special. The car in question is a Rover 45 Club, the mid-range specification between Classic and Connoisseur at the time of the car's launch back in 2000. It's also one of the very first off the line. WXXX LDA registrations were the very first batch of press and marketing cars registered by Rover Group at the time of the car's debut, but the press launch was largely overshadowed by questions around the company's future, meaning a lot of the 45's finer points were lost in a sea of debate about where Rover was heading next.

  • Grand Monday: Peugeot 405 19 Sep 2016 (News)
Even the vendor admits the 405 GLD won’t get you anywhere in a hurry – but that’s not really the point of this car. This is a genuine ‘everyday’ classic. A retro car that is old enough and rare enough to get a bit of attention, yet at the same time modern and practical enough to not offer too much of a compromise on the daily commute.
