  • All makes and models - All cars are unreliable according to this site 11 Aug 2016 (Forum)
I have even typed into Google ‘Most reliable cars’ and several sites always give their top 10 most reliable and least reliable cars and with consistency I read, surprisingly, of cars such as Peugeot, Seat and Korean cars being in the top 5 for the most reliable, along with Honda, Lexus of course, but this surprises me. What surprises me even more is that BMW, Audi and VW are always way down the list of most unreliable cars.
  • I kneed a Berlingo 16 Jul 2007 (Forum)
First, I had a hard time finding a half-way decent driving position: I'm no giraffe, but this machine seemed to have been designed for someone with stubby legs and huge arms. Then the gearbox drove me mad; like my much-missed old 1980s Peugeot 305, it had a gearlever 20 feet long with huge travel in every dimension and a spring in its mechanism which was so overpowered that I started to keep an eye out for Jeremy Beadle as I missed gears at very opportunity, starting in third, changing up from first to fourth, and learning that I had a much more colourful vocabulary than I knew.
  • The car you drive.. 21 Oct 2006 (Forum)
You drive through puddles to create your own designer mud. You believe you've made the grade, but everyone else knows you've got a long way to go. Peugeot Thinks France is the best country in the world and bores everybody with your limited French knowledge and tales of the Louvre and the Sourbonne. Porsche Small penis or mid-life crisis. Renault An eccentric who likes doing things the wrong way around.
  • Nissan Micra - 14 day French road test 27 Oct 2005 (Forum)
Compared to Britain, one sees more older cars on the road. There are a fair number of Renault 4s and Citroen 2CVs on the go, and Peugeot 205s seemed to outnumber 206s. Ford Fiesta Mk IIIs definitely outnumbered the current model. Roads were remarkably quiet. One afternoon my wife and I walked down a scenic country road near Cahors in a touristy area for 4 km and were not passed by a single motor vehicle.

ve come off worse" Upon getting outside, she had her car parked about three foot off the back of mine. She was clutching her Peugeot badge saying "I feel so guilty, I?m so sorry, I turned but nowt happened" and she was shaking like a leaf, obviously very shaken by the whole experience. But when I looked at mine, I wanted to cry!

Fane in a works 2.0 litre BMW 328, Ian Connell in a 4.0 litre Darracq, P. Aitken in a 3.0 litre Delage, Dorndof in a 2.0 litre Peugeot, Cowell in a 2.0 litre supercharged Alta and Templar in a 2.5 litre supercharged Alfa Romeo. Hunter won the first race: three and a half laps of the shorter Campbell circuit but didn't complete a lap of the second race on the high speed outer circuit due to transmission failure.
  • Dilemma of dilemmas of dilemmas 2 Feb 2012 (Forum)
It almost seems like only the old 1990's PSA and VAG 1.9 normally-aspirated engines have assured longevity.  It's almost enough to drive me to consider trying to find a mint Peugeot 405 non-turbo. So, my QUESTION 1: Does ANYBODY make a turbodiesel engine that isn't a complete and utter gamble? The only ones I haven't heard TOO many bad things about seem to be the Toyota 1.4 and the Kia 1.5 (though is the latter just because there aren't many Kias compared with VWs?)

Best with the ancient 1.6 Pinto under the hood as it would run and run if it had regular fresh oil or the ancient Peugeot 2.3 diesel that was impossible to kill. Taxi drivers loved them for their simplicity. Ford Orion Classic - Pals folks bought one new. It was a special edition that was cheaper than the L and had absolutely nothing on it except a sunroof.
  • Mercedes Benz CLK W208 (1997 - 2002) - Advice on dealin with bad service from dealer 9 Jun 2008 (Forum)
t have that to provide me, but that the car had been to the workshop for a complete checkout I asked for the tax disk of my Peugeot 406 to allow me to reclaim the remaining road fund tax, and was told it would be posted to me, and it never has been. At this visit, The Manager now told me that he in fact had not sold the car to it?
  • Choosing a second car - ideas? 10 Feb 2008 (Forum)
Thinking about it.. what do Nissan have to tempt me? they don?t have a 2+ 2 coupe anymore to replace the 200SZX, like Peugeot 407, Alfa GT,? nor a CC like VW Eos, Focus CC, Volvo C70, they don?t even have a hot (or warm) hatch like latest Astra / Golf / Focus variants). Go up a size, and the Primera is woeful compared with latest Mondeo / Mazda 6.
  • Renault Clio 1.5 dCi 68 road test . . . 28 Oct 2006 (Forum)
The comparisons was of diesels of about 85-90 bhp. I was interested to note that the results were as follows. 1) Peugeot 207 2) Renault Clio 3) Citroen C3 4) = Opel Corsa 4) = Toyota Yaris 6) Fiat Grand Punto. So, that's first, second, and third, for the French. Patriotism / chauvinism? Or perhaps just a sign that the French manufacturers know exactly what the home market wants.

t fold in to floor leaving all the hassle that we have with the Galaxy seating arrangements still to live with. Peugeot 806 / Citroen C8. My wife LOVED the sliding doors, but again the seating arrangements are no advance whatsoever on the Galaxy. E.g. like the Galaxy you cannot even tip up one of the rearmost seats unless it is slid backwards first, and seat in front is slid forwards.
  • My Recent Driving Trip to France 17 Jul 2008 (Forum)
French cars and driving I was expecting to see a lot of French cars that maybe don?t sell as well over here eg. Peugeot 1007, Citroen C6 etc but I did not see a single C6 which surprised me. I did see one of the new Renault SUVs which looked quite appealing. The French motorway driving seems to have changed slightly as well.
  • My 1st month, 3300 miles, with an S-Max 1 Aug 2007 (Forum)
t want to go back and I reckon all cars will have these in the next few years. My car also has the panoramic roof. Panoramic is subjective here, Peugeot owners wouldn?t call it panoramic as it starts just above your head and also has a central strut in the middle for torsional rigidity. Also, it comes with 2 MANUAL blinds, the front one you can open whilst driving but no chance with the back one.
  • Fiat Doblo roadtest - V.long!!!!!!!!!! 9 Nov 2006 (Forum)
As I have made clear I have compaired it to a 10 year old clio, try to test drive some it its competitors too, like the Citroen Berlingo, Chevrolet Tacuma, Citreon Picasso, Hyundai Matrix, Kia Carens, Peugeot Partner Combi and the Renault Kangoo, all of which are available in the same king of budget and all classed as MPVs by whatcar. Right, after all this, no I can?t be bothered to do a spell check ?
