  Level continues to show 'full' when it must have used oil (based on mileage driven). Don't want to overfill or run too low either. What is likely cause and solution?

  [endif]--> Hi all I have an old unloved and un used 306 xnd it hasn’t been started in  a couple of years but im debating on getting it running again so I was thinking ill do a basic service Oil / fuel / air filters New glow plugs Oil flush and change New tires as the old ones would have perished by now New battery   Well this is all if i can get it to start initially Anything else I should look out for or think about doing?

  It has covered 130k miles however I've noticed that it has started to smoke quiet a bit and is now sounding loud for a few minutes after start up.  It has 130k miles, it's never been run low on oil, it has a full service history and the correct grade of oil is being used. There is also white smoke for a second or two upon start up Any ideas?

  How about the 130 1.9tdi ? Is this classed as the sweet spot? No DPF so no issues around town but will do 55mpg on a run? Plenty of boot space in something like an Audi A4 for the kids stuff.

  Hi all Pin 15 + 8 on bouble (brown) relay run from + on batt. Wires BB1A BB1B  For some reason on my car they no longer feed +12v (engine cut out). Fitted brand new double relay. I tried tracing but I can't see where they go?

  He has had it serviced today and been informed it will never pass another MOT as it is completely rotten underneath. He's okay with this and isn't worried about only running the car for 11 months then ditching it, but I'm worried it is not safe to drive. Any advice please?

  my son is considering buying a second hand mazda it has done 39000 miles - looks in good condition - when would the cam belt need to be replaced. It has electric windows - sun roof A/C etc.  But the battery was run down the guy in garage wasn't sure why - checked the battery not the original - could there be a problem with the electrics??? Any advice please pref ASAP as he needs to make a decision. PS the price is £1500.

  I bought a kit CRUZ CR1075 from the roofbox.co.uk. Is there a trick to get these  to fit, its seems like the plastic black stip running over the roof wouldnt hold very much weight? Do I have to remove something else, I already unscrewed the cover bits. Thanks, Jason.

  Hi, I have had a major ATF leak in my 607, I am going to have a game of hunt the leak later, as it only leaks when it's running I am guessing it's in the pipework somewhere. I can not however find any info on how to check the fluid level or top it up. Does anyone have any clues? Cheers Adrian

  Is it worth progressing or should I just get a reconditioned engine replacement? The engine has only done 60k and was running well before the misfire started. Advice appreciated. Thanks

  The driver window has been working off and on for the last few weeks but now it has completely stopped working. the motor runs but nothing happens. The window will drop slightly and has to be pulled back up by hand. I have taken the trim off to check it out but cannot see where the problem is. I would suspect that the drive on the motor has broken but cant confirm because I can't see where the motor drives the window mechanism.

  I have spoken to a couple of dealers with regard to changing my current car for which the finance deal runs out in September. Both have suggested that there would be savings to be had if I changed before September. Having a new reg car on September 1st doesn't bother me but I would only be interested in changing early if there are savings to be had.

    :) I'm going to be selling my Mini Cooper S convertible soon, to be replaced with a Fiat 500, mostly because the day-to-day running costs of the Mini are proving to be a lot. I'm not keen on selling my car privately, although I know I would probably get a better price for it. How many dealers are prepared to part-ex on a car that's worth more than the car they're selling?
• Vauxhall Zafira sri diesel - smoke smoke everywhere 13 Mar 2011 (Forum)
  driving home tonight, rev counter suddenly went through the roof, pulled over and white smoke began to fill car and surrounding area. Turned car off but engine was still running ?!?!?! then stopped, fans went off after a minute or so but car will now not turn on. Any ideas as to what is wrong with it.  P.s. the light has been on for a few days that usually signifies the ignitors are being cleaned to burn off the carbon, and there has been a little smoke form the back as usual.
• Zafia 2001 model - Front windscreen wipers problems 11 Mar 2011 (Forum)
  After the recent bad winter the front windscreen wipers are causing a problem. They appear to be running slower than before and the nearside arm judders when it is parking. It also judders at the park position when it is cleaning intermittently but moves freely whilst cleaning continuously. I have checked the operation with the blades lifted off the screen so it is nothing on the screen that is causing the problem.

  The (quality OE Varta) battery in my C5 V6 has finally given up the ghost after 8 years of service - well not given up but the starter seems more sluggish than usual. I ordered a Bosch S4 to replace it, just tackled the job expecting to run out of light - 5 minutes later the car was spinning over like a dream - I was amazed to discover that battery replacement is tool-free! Well I never! What a nice surprise - who said Citroëns are always a pain to work on?

  When I put the engine under load, ie accelerate hard to overtake, the glow light comes on and the engine still runs but with reduced power. When I stop the car, turn off the engine, then restart, it appears to reset and all is ok until the next time I put it under load. I would be very grateful for any advice. Cheers Colinf

  i am having trouble starting in the morning, it is clicking and the lights on the dash go dimmer, after about 6-8 times of this happening it starts and runs fine, i havediscovered that i have had a leak in the rad but have resolved this, the starting prob continues, i have thought of solenoid or starter motor issues but would appreciate any help as i have lost my job due to recession and cant afford the charges that dealers issue to diagnostic check. please help scott
