  Hi I need help I changed my timing belt on my mazda mx3 and I had to disconnect the power steering hose so I could change the belt. Does anyone know how to deed the air out of the power steering system as at the moment I can't turn the steering wheel when the car is on the ground many thanks

  ., I wonder if there is a schedule of cars that can easily have replacement bulbs fitted.  The bulbs on my Mazda 626 can be changed in seconds.....lift the bonnet, unclip the protective cover at the rear of the lights, swap bulbs, job done.  This was equally true of my previous Carina. Is it that the Japanese are more customer friendly?

  Flashing DPF light on dashboard 13/02/12.  Mazda dealer diagnostic revealed no fault on DPF, light caused by their failure to reset car computer after service in July 2011.  Will this have had any adverse effect on the DPF/engine to date or cause any premature failings in the future?

  I plan to replace a noisy F/W bearing on my Mazda. Before starting I would like to identify possible problems. Do I need splined sockets or other special tools? Does the bearing come as an assembly or just the bearings.

    With Autumn approaching I have been trying to get information of a supplier of winter tyres and steel wheels for my wifes Mazda 3. The normal wheels are alloys, however I would prefer to have the winter tyres on a set of steel wheels. If anyone can suggest where I could source these I would be pleased to hear.

  Hello all, this is my first post. My local Mazda agent is proposing to repair an open circuit screen heater element track using "electrically conductive paint". I have come across something similar to this before, but only for repairing low current items such as pcbs.

  Mazda MX-5 2002 51plate 1.8 sport   the lights that iluminate the water temp gauge has failed as well as the speedo which is only 1/2 lit can anyone help as to how to replace. is it a whole dashboard out thing, if so please point me in right direction of removal.

  Without replies consisting of RTFM, could anybody in the know advise what anti freeze I need for my 98 Mazda 626 petrol please. With all the talk of double figures minus temps, I intend to get some topup to increase the strength and maybe a tester.

  I am thinking of buying either an 02 reg, or thereabouts, Mazda 323 or Skoda Octavia in 1.6 petrol engine size. Would appreciate comments from anyone who has experienced either. I'm looking for a car that is nice to drive car, both around town and on 100 mile motorway journeys, that will cope with 2 adults, 2 teenagers and luggage.

  My Mazda's been damaged in an accident and will be taken to a bodyshop. Since it's still in warranty it's been taken under the Mazda recovery scheme to a Mazda approved bodyshop. However, my insurer - Tesco - wants it to go to one of their own.

  My 1998 1.5LXi Mazda 323 (petrol) is making a diesel rattle occasionally when I'm changing up through the gears. It's the same noise that it makes if I drive in too high a gear, such as going into 2nd before the car is at a sufficient speed.

  Eventually it stopped, but the engine had leaked a load of coolant and the radiator head had blown off.  When Mazda Assistance's roadside guy arrived he reckoned it was the turbo, but said he could not see why this had blown the radiator.  When the car got delivered to the Mazda garage the Mazda dealer's service engineer informed me when they received the car that I had no service history on the electronic record and therefore Mazda were not allowing him to touch it - not even to diagnose the problem.

  Either the injectors are leaking fuel into the engine, which in turn is mixing with the oil and changing the properties of the oil, it normally acts as a lubricant but also cools the engine. Now here is where I post an opinion of a former mazda technician who worked on many mazdas with this blocked sump strainer problem. Apparently when you get your car serviced with mazda they are told drop the sump and check the strainer as part of the service, this alone tells me that mazda know that there is a problem with there diesels.

   A close relative of mine has just purchased a brand new Mazda 6, 2.2 diesel. I haven't clapped eyes on it yet, but he hummed and haahed between the Mazda and a Jag XS, eventually going for the Mazda, I'd like to think, based on my advice regarding the reliability of the brand.

  I suspected a noisy gearbox bearing, possibly the main shaft which I think stops turning when the clutch is depressed. The Mazda dealer eventually agreed there was a noise but said it was nothing to worry about and Mazda wouldn't dismantle to investigate anyway! I've never heard such a noise on any manual car I've had, some with very high mileages, so I don't know if this is unique to this car.
