I don't think there is much to choose between antifreezes, as long as the main component is (ethylene) glycol. I top up with neat AF to compensate for the times I have topped up with plain water in the summer! A simple test for effectiveness (as suggested by someone in the discussion thread) is simply to collect a small amount of coolant and put the container in a freezer, which will be at around -18degC. If it stays liquid, you've probably got enough AF in it...
NB - beware 'ready-mixed' antifreeze. This is just an excuse to sell you the stuff watered down!
