  over a 3 month wait if you want a 1.0 Sirion. dealer said its because they are exempt from congestion zone, have air con as standard and v.good on the petrol. wanted to buy mine back off me!

  The symptom it is giving me now is it is low on Refrigarant i rung him back and he said he had drained it and regassed it to the manafacturers spec and that his work was done correct also it seems like the fan is not running when the air con is on on my previous cars and this one when the air con was on the fans started and went of when you diengaged the air con i think ive spent £80 for nothing and made my system worse any ideas thanks all RobertH

  Im looking for advise from the usual experts on 306 hdi air con Ive been chasing a leak on my air con for a few weeks/months now and up to the minute have had a condenser, short and long pipe etc fitted. After firing some gas through there was a large leak on what ive been told is called the pressure release valve fitted to the bulkhead.

  I've got a diesel 406 HDI, 2000cc, Y reg, 170,000 miles, that my wife drives during the week while I use a van for work. About three months ago I heard a loud `clicking' from the engine that we isolated to when the air con was engaged. I took the car to the guy that does our MOT's, his advice was that we needed a new compressor "run it till it breaks properly(!) then replace it". We have run the car for a bit longer without the aircon switched on (it always seemed to default to on when we switched on the ignition, and then we had to switch it off), but now we have the noise continuously, air con on or off.

  I have had a look around all of the internet sites, however Ford seems to be offering a decent deal with free insurance and air con at the moment. I have a 2000 X reg Micra that I was intending to sell privately to get the best price. The way I see it the free insurance is worth £350 to me, and the air con is a bonus that I would not pay for.

  I'm looking at a used Polo, but I'm not sure what model it is. The facts are it's a 52 plate old model. 1.4 petrol, with air con & CD player. Is it a fully loaded, end of line model? Any ideas on worth. £7 500 is being asked.

  Despite using it regularly throughout the year, my Fiesta's air con has finally started smelling a bit farmy. I've used a propriety aerosol cleaner/disinfectant of the type discharged in the footwell, which has helped but not eliminated the problem. I'm considering spraying another of these directly onto the evaporator matrix.

  im looking at a volvo c70 1998 t5 auto soon and was wondering if there is anything i should be aware of or looking for? i know the air con is blowing out warm air...and the cam belt HAS been changed during one of the previous services. any other helpful pointers will be much appreciated   thanks
• Omega Blower motor not working 4 Jan 2005 (Forum)
  I have a P reg Omega 2.5 with climate control. Just recently the blower motor has stopped working. The air con seems to be working as when driving some cold or warm air comes through the vents. I have checked the fuse and relay. I have removed the glove box to get at the motor but it looks as though it will be difficult to get to the motor itself.

  there is alot of engine heat entering thru vents into cabin when car is stuck in traffic even on a mild 14degree day.i have to put air con on. does anyone else have this problem?

  A friend of mine alleges a friend of his had his aircon re gassed for £30 using a fitter who worked on milking parlour tanks. Says it works fine! The air con on my Rover needs regassed - best/cheapest? Thanks

  Two garages have had the car on ramps and checked all pulleys, etc and can find nothing wrong. One garage said that they thought the air con compressor is on its way out (very expensive), but another mechanic said they did not believe it had anything to do with the air conditioning as the problem is still there even if the air con is disabled.

  I haven't seen it, but have been offered a "Honda Accord Estate 1995 2.2 auto, leather , air con". Short MOT. Any ideas whether it's petrol, diesel, juicy, expensive to run, desirable or a lemon? I'm on me uppers! Any advice gratefully received!

    This is very unfortunate for us as we are travelling to France where it is a lot warmer than the UK and the air con is needed especially as we have dogs with us on the trip. A very poor showing from  Mitsubishi who appreantly have been aware of this fault for a number of years, but have refused to do a recall especially has coolant leaking out is an enviromental issue!
