Auris T180 - Selling my T180 10 Jun 2010 (Forum)
It is priced to sell as i have bought another car already and i have 2 weeks overlap on my insurance and 2 weeks on autotrader. At the end of the 2 weeks i have the option of trading it in. If someone offers full price then great but I have enquired about extended Toyota warranties which range from £450 to £515 and I am willing to reduce the price by £450 to cover the cost of a 1 year Toyota warranty. -

Volvo XC90 (2002 - ) - 04 2.4 D5 engine durability 14 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I have a Volvo XC90 D5 SE Geartronic which I bought new in June 2004 and which has covered 35,000 miles. I read the recent auction report on this site that stated that an XC90 price reflected the common problems and expense with injector failure. A look at the car by car whats bad section revealed that the cam belt and tensioner are also prone to failure and should be replaced at 60,000 miles or 4 years. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 99 1.8 Power steering fluid leaking? 25 Jul 2009 (Forum)
I have a 1999 Ford Focus 1.8 (petrol) which has covered 81k miles since new. Because of the age of the car I occasionally take the car into a reputable garage so that they can raise it up and look underneath for any signs of leaks. Anyway this week I took it in and they had a look underneath and said there was some wetness from the power steering rack but that I should just keep an eye on the level in the fluid reservoir and that it didn't need repairing immediately. -

Renault Megane CC (2003 - 2010) - 2005 1.6 Help with fault finding 9 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Hi, not sure if anyone can help at all with my Megane Dynamique- I know nothing about cars I'm afraid. I've had my car for a couple of weeks with no probs. Tonight, however, when I was out in it I noticed that it felt like I was driving in too high a gear (is the best way to explain it) although I was in fourth gear doing 30. -
Vauxhall Astra G Petrol (1998 - 2004) - 00 1.6 Sparks from my ignition coil 31 Dec 2008 (Forum)
Since fixing this fault i have a new one that i was wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be and how to fix it? The problem is that whilst driving in the rain twice now the car has shuddered a few times, then there was a loss of power then the engine stops. On lifting the bonnet and restarting the car i noticed that a spark was travelling from the top of the ignition coil (Replaced only two months ago) and the rocker cover. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 01 1.6 intermittent speedo fault 23 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Friend of mine has a 2001 Ford Focus,1600 Zetec--delighted with the car apart from an intermittent failure of the speedo, which occasionally drops to zero when driving then shoots up again.Car has done around 70K miles. As far as I know theres no loss of engine power accompanying the speedo failure, and no loss of instrumentation anywhere else on the dash.Shes only had the car a month, and its covered by a Mickey Mouse warranty from a local garage which basically excludes everything but engine and gearbox,so looks like its down to her to sort it. -

Police driving over the speed limit 3 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I live on a straight B Road which has a 30mph limit. Houses each side of the road and quite a few cars parked either side. Nothing unusual about it. Up the road is a police house which serves as a local traffic division. 9 times out of ten whenever I see a battenburg being driven, and it is not on a shout (no blues and two's) the car is clearly going faster than 30. -
Mazda 626 (1997 - 1999) - 1998 2.0 Non interference engine? 25 Jun 2008 (Forum)
If so, would anyone recommend a precautionary early belt change. The car is in lovely condition and I cannot envisage buying anything similar for what I paid...£995. I plan to keep the car for a further 3 or 4 years (unless I get lucky with my Premium Bonds!) -

Subaru Forester (1997 - 2002) - fitting an aftermarket exhaust insurance increase 2 Jan 2008 (Forum)
As mine is not a common car I don't even know if the national chains can even supply one at any price but does this mean that everyone fitting aftermarket systems and not notifying their insurers are technically no longer covered or are my insurers being particularly pernickety? -
DVD based expert systems 11 Aug 2006 (Forum)
Very expensive, and impressive. 3 dimensional display of vehicle, and summary of work including time required. All technical data for every component you could wish for. Covered wide range of vehicles, and updated quarterly. I was so impressed I emailed the maker and queried whether they supply the same information on a one-off basis for a particular car, as it seemed far more useful than the usual Haynes manual. -

Smoky/Rattly Volvo 850 TDI 6 Jun 2005 (Forum)
I have an 850 TDI, 96 model, great car and I have owned it for about 8 months now but it is nearing MOT time and I am concerned about two things which i am hoping maybe some other people may have experienced. First it is smoky under accelleration (Black/Grey), the slower you drive it the more you will get next time you accellerate, this is the main MOT concern, Secondly I have had a rattle only when the car is hot and only on tickover.
