  • Ford Focus - 2005 1.6 Engine Warning Light 25 Jun 2012 (Forum)
I took it to the local garage and he checked it over and said he couldnt see anything wrong, he connected the error reader and said it was showing no error so he reset it and said drive it to see if it comes back on. I took it on a short drive and the light didn't reappear to it looked like it had been fixed. I then look the car on another drive and about 60 miles later the light reappeared.

Their comment is:- Poor body control, soggy handling, dull steering and an unsettled ride mar the drive   However HJ's CBCB is fairly positive about the ride and handling. 2) Reliability The German TÜV reports paint a good picture regarding its reliability, and it is consistently rated it higher than the Ford Focus.
  • Driving diesels with health in mind 19 May 2009 (Forum)
I have adapted a specific driving style. I give it some beans, 70% throttle openings and usually try to keep the revs between 1.8k and 2.6k max torque. I also maintain steady speeds just under or on boost; 1.8k. So get up to speed quickly when the engine is running efficiently.
  • Peugeot 406 (1999 - 2004) - 01 2.0 HDI 110 - P0190 AP Fault 21 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Had a second hand fuel tank fitted after the old one was vandalised and this seems to be when the problems started. At idle it runs very poorly and even when I drive it there is a heavy crackling noise. I think it is missing and this is causing the noise. It can get a bit better when it warms up and occasionally it runs OK for a couple of days. If I drive a lot it can also run a bit better.

  • General Motors press release 25 Mar 2006 (Forum)
At COMDEX recently, Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with the technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon." In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics: 1.
  • Party Transport Policies 22 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Pram lanes will be created in all shopping centres. All cars will be converted to run on Venos to help stop congestion. 4 wheel drive vehicles will only be allowed to drive off road, therefore stopping mothers picking up their children from school in them when they only live 100 yards down the road. They will also be wrapped in bubble wrap to make them safer.
  • Crazy driving instructor 8 Feb 2005 (Forum)
I know we all have to learn, but the experience can?t be made easy if your instructor continually advises you to drive like someone with years of experience and subsequently puts you in danger!
  • Shameful Courtesy Cars 5 Aug 2004 (Forum)
I'm so used to a wider longer car that I couldn't judge! Oh the shame. On a more serious note, I think that people should be required to drive at least 2 cars other than their usual ride each year. One with a smaller cc and the other with a larger one. Driving a 1.2 on the motorway certainly reminded me that other vehicles on there are not as capable as mine, and I'm sure that if I was to drive something with an engine larger than 2.0 that I would appreciate that I am a slow coach to others.

  • Headlights 18 Aug 2016 (Forum)
I have never had a test drive at night.  How can you decide how good headlights are on specifications ? Is there any guide as to quality ? I appreciate as with most things there is personal choice but wondered if there was any hard information to help choose.
