rover 216 convertible - Col de turin road trip - Don2012

Hi we going to do a rally this july that is driving down the col de turin into Monaco, has anyone done this road?

never...but its one hell of a road, and the good thing is...when the head gasket gives up in the trusty k-series rover engine you'll be able to just turn off and coast the rest of the way down.. :)

The early 90's 216 convertible was only available with the Honda 1.6 "D" series engine engine.

The 1.6 and 1.8 K series was fitted in cars from about 1996 onwards.

The 1.4 K was fitted from 1989 onwards.

If he has the honda lump then he's got no worries..doesn't mention what year his rover is..

Haven't seen either in our workshop for quite a while now.

Have driven up and down a number of roads into and out of Monaco/Nice going north into the hills. Spectacular views and great hairpins to scare the living daylights out of your wife...........!
