Kia Sportage - Part Ex Dispute With Dealership 8 Mar 2020 (Forum)
Nothing but a £5.00 admin fee to pay and the deal was done. The Kia (Part Ex) was listed within a few days on AutoTrader by the dealership as CAT S which i thought was odd, and obviously several thousand pounds higher than valued (understandably). After nearly 6 weeks the vehicle is still for sale (recently reduced by £500) and they've now chosen to contact me to demand £3000 + as they're not able to sell the car at the moment for the listed price and blame as it's a CAT S!! -

Honda Civic Type S - Honda Happiness? Have I been miss sold? 22 Mar 2013 (Forum)
I have been looking for the perfect Honda Civic Type S (2.2 diesel). I found the 'perfect car' but unfortunately it was a 200 mile round trip away. However it was being sold from a Honda dealer so I trusted that the car would be as described. According to the Honda Approved website the car ticked all my boxes: Sat Nav, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity being the three important factors. -
Dartmoor at night - the hungry big cat 6 Feb 2013 (Forum)
Was that the sound of something big slobbering and licking it`s chops? Or a figment of the imagination. Funny how it feels a lot better if you are doing that with your mate. Fear seems to go away and you know that at worst one of you could get a head lock on it, while the other got it`s legs in a Half Nelson. -
Primera 2.2DCi - dead turbo? £'s to fix? 22 Jan 2013 (Forum)
Finds oil where he shouldn't and tows me to the Nissan garage where I will check in tomorrow for analysis and repair! So big question I am scared of asking is how bad in terms of £'s could this be? New turbo fitted =£????. Also, the car is less than three years old and has been serviced by a main dealer according to the schedule. Although now out of warranty due to mileage (60k max) its still not three yrs old. -
MINI Cooper + Cooper S - Warranty Service Plan 5 Jun 2011 (Forum)
Here's where it gets tricky The dealership is owned by Arnold Clark not a name to inspire confidence. Reading some of the comments on the web it' s surprising they manage to sell any Cars. Well I decline the warrant and service package. Still have 2weeks to take it if I want it. Also found out that they own Harry Fairbains BMW dealership in Geffnock Glasgow. -

Skoda Octavia II (2004 - ) - Tyre suggestion - Octavia II Ambiente TSi 2 Dec 2008 (Forum)
I'm thinking along the lines of 17's from a Mk II vRS of even 16's from an Elegance. I appreciate this will have implications for insurance etc. I have been very impressed with the new 1.8 TSi engine. It pulls from 2K revs and really flies between 4.5K-6K revs. -
Vauxhall Corsa C (2000 - 2006) - Trade in for a Fiesta Zetec S 1 Jul 2008 (Forum)
My daughter is changing her Corsa Exclusive (Almost 4 years old) for a Fiesta Zetec S (I tried to talk her into a 1.4 but she did not want to know). Dealer gave her a discount and a very good trade in value for her car - he claimed he could not find hers in in Glass's guide although it is listed on Vauxhall's "value your car". -
Paid a deposit without seeing the car! 10 Dec 2007 (Forum)
I have since then moused around on the internet and most reviews seem to not recommend the S line since its too firm in comparision to the SE spec! My knowledge of tyres is fairly minimal, however I was wondering , since the previous owner has gone for larger 19 inch tyres , will that make the ride yet harder? -
New Tyre Time Again.... 22 Jun 2006 (Forum)
It seems like not many months ago I came on here asking for advice about choosing some grippy day-to-day tyres for my Volvo S60. I settled on Goodyear Eagles to replace the Pirelli P6000's I have had both on the Volvo and my previous Mondeo estate. Well, the Goodyears were certainly very grippy - much much better than the P6000's which was what I wanted. But after 10,000 miles they are knackered and on the legal limit. -
Peugeot 205 2 Jun 2005 (Forum)
A few weeks back, I bought a 1989 Peugeot 205 diesel off a neighbour as a bit of fun more than anything. We have enough cars as it is but these 205's bring back a a few happy memories since we had one new in 1986 and the chance to pick up an immaculate low mileage model was too tempting. Anyway the intention was to use it for local journreys but last week I had to drive to Cambridge for the day, a round trip of almost 400 miles from Bath. -
