Peugeot 205 Gentry 1.9 GTi (Auto) 1 Apr 2005 (Forum)
I know that a manual PUG 205 1.9 GTi throws out some 130BHP. A 'genuine' 1.9 GTi with an atuo box (and with A/C) churns out some 120BHP while my own 'Gentry'... -

306 HDI Acme Bodge by dealers 14 May 2004 (Forum)
Some of you who read my thread "306 HDi Smoke Normal" will know what happened to my 306 : basically - bought the car, burnt oil, took it back, Peugeot said it was the head and would replace it.. Sadly the tale of woe doesnt really stop there. The Monkeys at the dealership had the car for nearly 2 weeks while they "waited for peugeot to come down to assess the vehicle". -

Peugeot 308 - Dealership potentially broke my car AGAIN - Advice 26 Jan 2023 (Forum)
However they are a massive company spanning many branches nationwide. So I bought my used Peugeot 308 (2014) in Sept 2020, and I took out the 2 year service plan, the 2 year mechanical breakdown cover, and the shortfall insurance... the works! I get a recall notice from Peugeot about the wet timing belt in Feb 2021 and I opt to put the car in for the complimentary check up. -

Any - Code readers 11 Jul 2024 (Forum)
Looking to purchase a decent scanner and code resetter for myself as a reasonably experienced diyer. The family fleet consists of Suzukis, old Toyota, Fiat panda and Peugeot partner 1.6 hdi. I would like to be able to interrogate and reset parameters particularly around the diesel Eolys and DPF data if poss, or at least see live data of what is going on. I like to do my own work as far as possible and farm out more complex stuff. -
PSA 1.5diesel DV5 10 Jul 2024 (Forum)
After a chat with a mechanic friend of mine who looks after a fleet of Citroen/Peugeot\Vauxhall vans fitted with the DV5 diesel engine, he was saying he's seen a lot with timing chain problems with the 7mm chain needing to be changed to the 8mm one after an issue with chain stretching or worn followers. -

Volkswagen Polo - Help deciding 25 Feb 2019 (Forum)
Hi guys, having a hard time deciding between two small cars and wondering if you guys can help me decide. Option 1) 2012 Volkswagen Polo 1.4 Match (60,000miles) 85BHP Option 2) 2014 Peugeot 208 1.2 Allure (27,000) 82BHP The Polo is £500 cheaper but is £140 to tax so they are equally matched. And I assume they have similar realmpg figures. I've not driven either yet but wondering if anyone can point out the better engine or anything I should be looking for. -
Pug 3008 2011 - 14 - Buying advice, 4 Sep 2018 (Forum)
Hi Following on from the discussion re the DV6 engine, I think I've settled on the Peugeot 3008, from a quick look on Autotrader, the 2011 - 14 models will be within my budget, possilby an auto with the 16 unit, ideally the 2.0hdi. I've heard both good and bad stories about the auto boxes and i'm still a little wary of the automated manual boxes and the DMF/clutch, I still prefer the fluid flywheel arrangement. -
Honda or any older car - Precautionary water pump replacement 10 Apr 2016 (Forum)
In last Saturday's Daily Telegraph someone wrote in who was planning to go on a European trip in a 2003 Peugeot. HJ replied that replacing the water pump is always a good idea before taking an old car for a long journey. I have a 1999 Honda which I am planning to take to Europe this summer - not for the first time. -
Ford Fiesta - Which Fiesta? 22 Aug 2014 (Forum)
First off thanks to all who responded to my post regarding the saga of the coolant loss on my wife's Peugeot 207. The garage reckoned it was a faulty temperature sensor which they changed. We now wait to see if they have in fact fixed it. However we have both lost faith in the car and my wife wants to go back to diesel power. -

Renault - Renault & Suicides of workers 27 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Among the measures are monitored limits on working hours, 'efficient meetings held at reasonable times', mandatory lunch breaks and a ban on working at home. As a comparison Peugeot had 6 deaths by suicide in 12 mths.. Is this a factor of the motor industry or would this be across industry in general? What about the public sector? Would this sort of figure apply? -
