  • Citroen Xsara HDi Coupe 17 Nov 2002 (Forum)
I've been told that it has an 80bhp engine, although when I checked on the Citroen site, it indicates that it has the Peugeot 110bhp engine. Can anyone confirm the existence of a 1.9HDi 80bhp and also let me know you rate the 110bhp? Thanks, James
  • Cars for the disabled 7 Apr 2002 (Forum)
MY PARENTS (IN THEIR 70S) CURRENTLY OWN A PEUGEOT 306 1.4 WHICH MY DISABLED FATHER NOW FINDS DIFFICULT TO CLIMB INTO. THE TOP OF THE DOOR IS TOO LOW AS HE FINDS IT DIFFICULT TO BEND HIS BACK. IS THERE A MODERN CAR THAT YOU CAN RECOMMEND WHICH OFFERS A GOOD DOOR-SIZE WITH GOOD INTERNAL HEADROOM IN THE CAR?
  • No temperature gauge! 7 Oct 2001 (Forum)
I own a base spec Citroen ZX, and while I am happy enough with it for day to day use I am worried by its lack of an engine temperature gauge, the only warning you get of any problem is when a warning light comes on, but I hate to think what the consequences would be if the bulb or wiring failed for this light, surely all cars should have a temp gauge. I have noticed this is also the case in other base spec french makes, Peugeot and Renault as well as Citroen.
  • Three more test drives - Lexus, Peugeot and Skoda 27 Jul 2020 (Forum)
I was impressed by the Corolla (previous thread) but I think my particular needs are best suited to a PHEV. Peugeot 3008 This should have suited me well.  Medium SUV with a strong combination of petrol and electric.  The top GT model (naturally the one they had as a demonstrator) costs an eye-watering £46k, but the Allure model is about £10,000 less: how much less powerful it is can't be found out unless you buy one.

  • Citroen C5 2.0HDI 110 2004 - Solid flywheel vs Dual Mass Flywheel 6 Oct 2016 (Forum)
I have read lots of people have DMF failed is not so reliable is prefer to replace to solid flywheel. When I use to own Peugeot 306 2.0HDI 90 it has got a solid flywheel which I never had a issue from 70,000 miles till 245,000 miles on the clock. So it make me wonder if I took off from Peugeot 406 2.0HDI with 90bhp which has got a solid flywheel and swap to my Citroen C5 to stop get other problem in the future.
