  Anyone have any experience with this? The local garage say they can replace the tank and sensor, but Volvo would have to recalibrate so it would be better to get it fixed (at HUGE expense) by Volvo. Any advice/experience would be hugely appreciated!!

  I bought a 2010 volvo c30 with 37k miles 2 months ago and It has broken down. On top of this it won't even start. I've been reading up on my rights and i have compiled an email ready to send to the dealer incase they try to fob me off.

  Volvo refused to offer me an extended warranty. They offered me a £100 gift voucher for the inconveinence, but that is all. My question is should I still argue my point wih Volvo? or should I accept the £100?

  I am sure I was told that the 1.8 is a Ford unit, I know the subframes etc are Focus. I'm fairly certain that the diesels are Volvo. But I can't get anyone to tell me what the 2 litre petrol is. Dealers are coy. I'd like to avoid the Mitsubishi gdi engine which caused problems before. Also - again I can't get confirmation - is steering electric or hydraulic?

  Hi. I’m wondering what are people’s opinions on the Volvo V40 petrol engines? Have been looking at 2cars in particular - one is a 2013 T3 1.6 150bhp and the other is a 2015 T2 2.0L 122bhp. The 2013 version has a higher spec trim and lower mileage and is 2k cheaper.

  2008 Volvo back after repair. Someone asked where 5K came from. List includes, Radiator, bonnet, wing, grill, front bumper, power steering tank, oil cooler, horn, headlamp, loads of brackets and clips, fluids, intercooler, paint, align bodyshell, belts. 18 remove/fit items, 17 painted areas, 10 repairs to other bits like rear bumper.

  Collected my new company car yesterday, a Volvo V60 D3 ES (the basic trim level). I'm intending to use this thread as an ongoing owner's diary, warts and all (if any present themselves). It's replacing a 2008 Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Estate.

  My dads volvo has a problem where the temperature gauge flicks from flat cold to red hot and back again quite often. It moves around really quickly. Also - when he stops, the engine fans continue running at full speed and make a lot of noise.

  Hello I need your help! I have one head lamp (dipped beam) which will not work. The Volvo dipped beams are normally on all the time (unless you turn them off) but the offside light comes on for one second before going off and staying off. I've changed the bulb and the fuse and checked the connection where it meets the bulb.

  So a C30 is a hatch, an S40 a saloon, a V50 an estate, an S60 a saloon, a V70 an estate, an S80 a big saloon and an XC90 a big estate. So what's a 99? An ice cream with a flake in it, dummy. Seriously, the way Volvo play the numbers game was news to me, is it news to you ? And anyone care to explain other manufacturers' numbering systems?

  can anyone help? i have a 2002 v70d5 with a good service history by a main dealer volvo agent the problem is when driven normally it cuts out after about 6/10 miles. It runs very well with no smoke and starts well, however if driven hard it gives no problems. many thanks portacabin1 moved over from Discussion
• Volvo S80 - Clicking noise from brakes 12 May 2007 (Forum)
  Any ideas what would cause this? It's happening to my used Volvo S80 (2003 model). When you press the brake pedal it makes a clicking noise. It has happened on a couple of trips out in the car, but other times has not. The noise sounds like it is coming from just below the dash.

  I am about to change car from my second Seat Alhambra 20VT, both of which have been excellent for over 100,000 miles apiece. Choice is down to Honda Accord Tourer or Volvo V50, with the Honda FRV as an outsider. I often have 5 people on board and still do trips to college/university, so space is required. Test drives have confirmed the great quality of the Honda diesel, but any thoughts or comments would be welcomed!

• volvo 440 abs warning light (dashboard) 30 May 2005 (Forum)
  anyone got any advice on how to reset the ABS warning light on the dashboard of a late m registered volvo 440 (95) the light came on when the front pads wore low, the pads have been replaced and the light remains! i have had the wheel sensors checked and they all work . i just wondered if there is a system re-set i dont know about.

  Hi I own a 2.9 volvo S80. When the engine is warmed up and under load (eg going up a hill) I get a metallic rattling noise from the engine bay which can only be heard when the window is down. Ie not from within the car.

  Hi All, Friend of my Dad's is looking to sell his ex-company Volvo V70 D5 Estate SE 2002 '02' reg - it's done 100K with FVSH. It has the winter pack, cd, leather etc etc. Any idea what it might be worth as a private sale or as trade in at a dealership (r if there are any dealership's that might be intereted in this vehicle?)
