  Firstly, thanks to all those who answered my post on engine mounts ~ now to the next problem!!! The mini drives ok apart from the blowing exhaust caused by the wibbly wobbly engine which will all be sorted soon.... There is a problem however when changing down from 3rd to 2nd gear - it always seems to crunch.

  I have a 56 plate A3 from september 2006. It now has 27053 miles to be exact on the clock. I am interested in a Mini cooper D for september on the 58 plate. List price is £14,420 for the mini. I will be addding the pepper pack and MFSW as extras. Total cost on the mini website is £15,690. Dealer 1 yesterday offered a lowish £12k for my A3 but after a bit more convincing offered £13k.

  Right then, i'm in the mood for treating myself and i'm fed up of being practical! So i'm buying a Mini Cooper (Would have been a Cooper S until i got the insurance quote lol!) Saw one at auction today, had all the kit on Chilli Pack, big wheels, 15k, dark blue with a black and white roof and mirrors, looked quite funky actually!

  We bought a Mini three months ago, a 1991 998cc. After a while the battery died so we bought a new one which was fine for a week or so, got progressively slower turning the starter then was flat. Check for anything that could be draining, removed interior light bulb.

  Hi, I have a 1995 SPi Rover Mini Cooper, and she has somehow decided that she doesn't want to start. The battery is fully charged, it turns over but won't fire up. Have used a voltmeter to check that the full 12v is going to the coil.

  Has anybody out there have the system fitted to their Mini? I have road map Europe high 2005-1. Have had the car and system for a couple of months and found it very good. Went from where I live in Bognor to a restaurant in Southsea in Albert road, I know the way well, but thought I would try out the system.

  Mitsubishi HQ were no help whatsoever and in the end my bank managed to get me my money back as the dealer wrote March delivery on the order form and was then didn't deliver). Anyway, Colt cancelled I went down the road to my local MINI garage and bought a 56 plate Mini Cooper Convertible in Chili Red from the MINI Cherished scheme. This is how I've got on with it over the last 3 weeks. First things first, the MINI garage were excellent- extremely courteous, a good deal offered, they couldn't have done more for me and the car itself, well its pretty much perfect.

  Newbie here and I know I need to start learning about cars! Had a mini one for a year, first car. It failed on the CO emissions only, other ones Lambda etc all fine. Have only had a basic service and so air filter not changed, neither spark plugs. Garage are now telling me it will cost £300+ for a new catalytic converter.

  Hello one and all, 3 days ago my 2002 Mini Cooper S developed a strange fault with the abs. After the car is started and as you pull away in 1st gear at a slow pace (no spinning) the abs light flickers and kicks in for a few seconds then clears, after that it is fine and would be for 500 miles hypothetically.

  My brother has a (BMW) Mini, petrol auto with about 20k on the clock. Recently, in traffic, the coolant temp warning light came on and the fan cut in to cool things down. He asked me about this and I advised him to check the coolant level.

  My mini has come back from its service. I have been trying to get a fault rectified for the last few rears. Each time I mention it on the service it has not been put right.(thats a slightly different issue I am currently trying to get them to address).

  Friend of mine has a 51 Reg MINI Cooper. Went back to BMW due to a grinding noise on front wheels at low speed. Having looked in HJ\'s C-by-C breakdown I find it should have been re-called for front suspension. Mechanic claims to know nowt.

  Driving down the M1 today in South Yorkshire in torrential rain i was passed by a convoy of 10-12 unmarked police cars using lights and sirens at 90+ mph , rather them than me. Unusual combination of cars, Seat Leon, Golf, Audi A1 , Mini didnt see others as it was raining really heavy , i just wondered what was going on also never realised A1 and minis as unmarked traffic cars
