I have looked online and under the sale of goods act any cars under 6 months of purchase the dealer should repair as onus is on them to say fault was not there when purchased. -

Kia Magentis 2.7 V6 LS Auto. - Manufacturer's Warranty 27 Feb 2011 (Forum)
We often receive enquiries from clients who require a short term lease on a comfortable automatic car. This can be because an employee has a temporary ailment that prevents them from driving a manual car or they are awaiting delivery of a new car with an ever-lengthening build time. For this reason ( and because it's inexpensive and hence it doesn't matter if it is rarely used) we have bought an originally U.K. sourced, 2007 57 plate, Kia Magentis 2.7V6 LS Automatic saloon that has covered 25,000 miles and has a full dealer service history. -
Back end shunt in borrowed car.. who pays? 26 Jan 2009 (Forum)
My father-in-law borrowed my brother-in-law's car when his own broke down. F-I-L has fully comp insurance and was definitely covered to drive the car (3rd party only) under his own insurance, and B-I-L had his own insurance (TPF&T) anyway. Father-in-law was hit in rear at traffic island whilst stationary. -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 2000 2.0 HDi - Coolant loss 13 Aug 2008 (Forum)
SWMBO's X -reg estate (sixty-odd thousand miles) has recently started to need its coolant level topping up - about half a cupful every fortnight, low mileage covered in that time. An inspection under the bonnet and under the car reveals nothing. (Mind you, the car stands on gravel.) All the hoses I can see and/or touch seem dry, with no trace of residue. No trace of oil contamination. -

Games you play in the car 29 Jan 2007 (Forum)
an item on the thread on minicabbing has reminded me of being a bored kid on long journeys and one particular game the old man invented to keep us kids interested it was a spotting game and you recieved points depending on the quality of 'spot' the points went like this: 1 point for... a front seat person in a car wearing a hat 1 point for ...a front seat person in a car sat on a beaded seat cover maximum points were for a 'double beader, double hatter' which i'm fairly sure was never achieved. I think my sister got a 'single hatter, double beader' once.
