What happens to scrap metal? 24 Sep 2008 (Forum)
With the price of scrap metal being at an all time high I was just wondering what they really do with it? Do our new Mondeos, Citroens, BMW's come from the metal of a scrapped Mk2 golf or an old peugeot 205? With so many new vehicle manufactured daily how many have been manufactured from recycled metal? Cheers -
New supermini 12 Feb 2007 (Forum)
I want a vehicle of quality - something that is reliable, fun to drive, etc. I'm thinking of buying a Diesel. I've basically narrowed it down to two cars: VW Polo and the Peugeot 207. I'm keen on the latter but have heard nightmare stories about French cars. Bad mechanics, unrealiable, etc. Any suggestions? -

How much value would an MOT add? 7 Apr 2006 (Forum)
I'm about to sell my Peugeot 306 privately. It's got 6 weeks MOT left to run and I was thinking about putting it through for a new MOT before I sell it as I'm sure this will add to the value. How much is is likely to add? -
Volkswagen G12 antifreeze 29 Mar 2006 (Forum)
I have to carry-out some work on our Peugeot 306 which involves draining the coolant. As I have a full bottle of VW G12 antifreeze I was going to use this for the refill. Am I risking disaster? Or if I make sure I completely flush the old stuff out should I be okay? -

306 1.6 22 Nov 2004 (Forum)
I've been offered a Peugeot 306 1.6 XS 98, it's a tidy example and done relatively low-mileage (52000). I know that it only has the 90bhp engine, but I wondered whether anyone knew what the revisions were to make it to a 100bhp and more economical (5mpg) in 2000? -
New "Old" Golf TDI 2 May 2004 (Forum)
My wife is a VW Golf freak but does not like the new shape (we think it looks like a Peugeot 307). She has a Mk4 SDI and would be interested in changing to a Mk 4 TDI - does anyone know if there are any still around, new/unregistered? I have checked the rest of the site here and cannot find any of this model advertised. -
309 foglights + noise 28 Apr 2002 (Forum)
My 309 GLX came with driving lights as standard but they were removed for some reason by the previous owner. Are they easy to fit? Do I need the official Peugeot lights? Is it worth paying a local garage or should I just do it myself? *ALSO* - loud persistent squealing for 20 minutes yesterday. Suspected fanbelt. Noise changed pitch with engine speed. Fanbelt? -
Peugeot 405 GL 1991 (carb) - Engine Cooling fans not working 4 Jul 2012 (Forum)
All that I need now is for the fans to be triggered when the temperature gets to 88 degrees. I think because of the differences in Peugeot engines, I cannot entirely relate the diagrams in the Haynes manual to my car. For now, I have inserted a wire from under the dashboard with a switch attached to run the fan manually when the temperature approaches 80 degrees. -
Electric & Hybrid Cars 12 May 2012 (Forum)
Due to the price, the only people I could see buying this would be company car drivers because of the favourable tax treatment. The Chevrolet Volt was the same as the Peugeot 508 and is electric power only at low speed, bringing the petrol engine on as you speed up, but did it a lot better, with none of the hesitation that you got with the Peugeot. However unlike the Peugeot, there were definite compromises that had been made with the space in the car, with the battery pack forming a small mountain down the middle of the car. -
Toyota Proace - 2020 Proace DPF 9 Feb 2023 (Forum)
Hi, would anyone know if the 2020 version of the Toyota Proace has any issues with the DPF. Am I correct in thinking these vehicles share the DPF with Citroen, Vauxhall, and Peugeot, and the 2020 version would contain an upgraded DPF to earlier vrsions ?? Anything I should be worried about concerning DPF's (or anything else for that matter) on tis 2020 Proace ?? Thanks -

Which small car to convert to LPG?? 12 Jan 2017 (Forum)
I assume the amount of miles the car does on petrol etc will be the same in gas, so I would need a high mpg petrol car. Could anyone recommend something like a fiesta, Peugeot ??? Any advice would be appreciated. -
Citroen C5 - Clutch slip 4 Apr 2012 (Forum)
This may sound really stupid but I would like to hear from anybody with a premature clutch failure on Citroen/Peugeot, I am only interested in 2.0 HDI (138) on a six speed gearbox. My family owns four C5's and we have had to replace three of these due to weak diaphragm springs NOT due to wear. Please reply to clutchfailure@yahoo.co.uk -
