My 309 GLX came with driving lights as standard but they were removed for some reason by the previous owner.
Are they easy to fit?
Do I need the official Peugeot lights?
Is it worth paying a local garage or should I just do it myself?
*ALSO* - loud persistent squealing for 20 minutes yesterday. Suspected fanbelt. Noise changed pitch with engine speed. Fanbelt?

Any old foglight will work - just connect the wires up - on cars there is only one wire to connect and the earth.
Has your heater Matrix been replaced ?

I'd have squealed for 20 minutes too, if you meant that the previous owner removed the foglights after you made the deal!

I notice you mention driving lights missing, but you say foglamps in the title. Under lighting regs., driving lamps must be fitted at least 400mm from the floor, fog lamps under 400mm, plus other rules regarding how they must be wired in. I know it's fashionable currently to drive with foglamps on all the time, but it is illegal and annoying to other road users. You can have driving lamps on 24/7 if you like with total immunity!
Cheers
Mike
PS I'm wondering if its 500 mm now, and no more than 400mm from the edge, but my regs book is at work. I can look it up on Monday if you like.

309 GTIs have fog and driving lamps in the bumper at the same level
|
I meant driving lamps ie the little ones at the bottom.

Do you mean the small ones fitted below the headlamps? If so, they're foglamps. These need to be wired in so they only come on with dipped headlights.

In real fog then it's legal to use fogs just with sidelights surely?
