  Hi I bought a 2009 Audi S4 from an independent dealer 11 days ago, looked good when I inspected it, HPI clear, test drove well. I have since given it a good wash and found that it has been resprayed poorly, there is crazing in the black paint on the wheel arch and passenger rear door plus evidence of very slight overspray on the boot shut.

  The invoice was fully itemised and explained to me in full. I have no hesitation in recomending this garage to anyone who needs their Audi, VW, Seat or Skoda serviced or repaired.   Merc comfortable, great nick, maybe overpriced at £5500? Then my brother offers his Company Car - a 2005 Audi a6, 130k on clock, immaculate inside and out - he is particular!! - serviced to the hilt, clutch and gearbox already renewed (ominous?). He'd ensure it was serviced before handover, replace tyres if not much life in them...

  hi all I am faced with a problem Want to change car with big running costs for one with cheap running costs. Existing car is £315pm with 20 mpg and 440 road tax pa. I wanted to buy an audi 1.6di sportback but dealer only wanted to sell me 1.6 petrol 3 door at 20k£ or face a 5 month wait. lol. Are all audi dealers total muppets? Me thinks golf bluemotion is closest to what I want so head to nearest dealer.

  The car is a 2002 Audi A3 1800 T sport auto.  The car drives normally and then suddenly the traction control light comes on.  The car then loses power and bangs loudly as though it has just driven over a very deep pothole, the revs fluctuate and the car occasionally stalls.

  Hi all, I just bought an H reg. Audi 80 2.0E saloon, low mileage at 51k. The logbook says it was registered in May 1991 which I assume means it's a MkII. However, is there a way I can double check, i.e. via the chassis number? Also, the engine is a little bit lumpy in idle, less so when it's warmed up but still quite shuddery which doesn't seem to effect it's acceleration.

  Last November, after 160,000 miles, the clutch on my Audi A4 1.8T started slipping, so I had a new one put in at my local VAG dealer. However, 8,000 miles later, this one has started slipping. The dealer has said that he will need to remove the gearbox etc to see what the problem is (fair enough, of course).

  Having taken my Audi A4 1.8se estate to the garage to have a new Air Con motor fitted, i was informed that there were numerous falts found on the the system!!!!! 1) 00603 FOOTWELL/DEFROSTER FLAP MOTOR-V85 BLOCKED OR NO VOLTAGE. 2) 01271 TEMP-REGULATER FLAP MOTOR-V68 BLOCKED OR NO VOLTAGE. 3) 01272 CENTRAL AIR FLAP MOTOR-V70 BLOCKED OR NO VOLTAGE. 4) FRESH AIR BLOWER-V2 DEVIATION FROM DESIRED VALUE.

  So do you guys have any advice as I saw a lovely a5 coming up, but don't know how to proceed. I have also heard that sometimes Audi will bid up the price of their cars at auctions such as the TT's and the A5's. Is that actually true? Thanks can for any help, Cheers Steven

  Having purchased a new A4 4 years ago from local Audi dealer, I am looking to replace upgrade the car. Why is it you are treated with absolute distain by the salesmen. Unless you want to pay the price they decide to place on the window they treat you as though you are a time waster.

  O.K. I have a December 1999 Audi A6 2.5 TDI Avant. I like the car but a problem keeps arising. The car locks all doors when achieving a speed of about 15 mph. Infuriatingly, and quite frequently when turning a sharp corner or riding over a sharp bump in the road, the doors suddenly unlock and all interior lights come on, and there are a lot of interior lights.

  ( the car was traded into the same dealer bewteen the 1st and 2nd onwer the 2nd owner and probably me). Perhap s i could get an AUdi dealrer to 'plug the car in' ansee what the compluter reads? ANy other views on the A3 TDI sprt woudl be good to know. Although i reckon i may be signing the deal in the next few days!

  This problem manifests itself by me being unable to swith my climate control out of 'Econ' mode - great for the environment - but not for me! Audi quoted 518 + vat for the part so naturally I'm hoping to find one cheaper as my mechanic is quite happy for me to source the component and he'll fit it. I've registered with a few internet sites but no-one has come up trumps.

  It still ran OK which is why I was deliberating whether to do anything or wait until service time. Very aware that a car such as this will carry big servicing bills, but Audi did not seem to think the timing belt will need attention until 5 years or 80k. Is it worth me complaining to Audi UK or should I just bite the bullet? The car is out of warranty now, although does have an independent warranty that may contribute part of the replacement cost.
