  They seem to be available for cars, but I know nothing about this. I'd think that if they use less electricity, they ask less from the battery, so the alternator works less, so you get more mpg and save money. Anyone tried this, is it worth it?

  my father in law recently dropped hisremote control key fob in water.he dried it off,changed battery, but still not working.he has to open car manually. do you have to reset or contact ford  to get new key ? any ideas folks

  Had some welding done and when the garage reconnected the battery, the electrics went haywire - dashboard lights came on, warning lights came on, alarm went off etc.  They have no idea what's happened and our beautiful car is still sitting in the garage 2 weeks after the welding was finished.

  Does anyone know how to reset the window memory? I had some work done on the car which involved disconnecting the battery and now the window does'nt automaticly continue to close when I press the switch, I have to hold it down. Niggley but annoying!

  help my toyota rav4 2002 is stuck on the drive with the alarm set. The remote will not unlock it. Have tried changing the battery in the remote but still not working. I can get into the car by using the key but the allarm just keeps going off. Any ideas

  Fitted new battery and the radio code was lost. Local dealer far from adequate with solution. Audio technician is confident he can re-programme unit. The problem is ,how does the radio come out of the console? Any info.

  Anyway, I read today that Nissan will be making an investment in the Nissan Sunderland factory. They will be making Lithium-ion batteries for future electric cars. I'm sure this will improve the UK's automotive industry. Looking forward to more news on this... Cheers Dan

  Just managed to change a headlight bulb but in doing so disconnected the battery. Now the electric windows go up and down in an odd way and the radio won't work. I can't find a reference for a reset code in the manual, any advice gratefully received!

  My daughter has fractured her ankle badly and her oldish Peugeot 106 will be left standing in the open for about 3 months, although on a usually safe site. It is too far away for me to attend to it. The battery will be flat but will it be ruined? Will the tyres distort over this period? What else is lilkely to go wrong?

  It has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks or so. When it cuts out it will not re start. It is as though the battery is flat (the starter motor tries but it is very weak). After a few minutes the car comes back to life and works normally. Any ideas???

  hi there, Anyone got any ideas my mgf when you start it sounds very rough then however it does start when you do give it a bit of gas stationary it feels like the whole engine is rocking. I though it might sound like a new car battery because it sounds rough on starting but not sure Can you guys help

  Following on from last postings had the car fixed, the battery was re charge. This made me lose the use of my radio. Does anybody know the factory code for a peugeot 306 1.4 lx 2000 w reg.   Dear All, I am driving Renault Scenic RXE 2.0 (1998). I just replaced my remote keys' batteries. Unfortunately the remote central locking don't work at all, even the immobilizer. My car can not be started now. Can anyone help me how to reset or deactivate the immobilizer OR start the car!

  It usually starts fine but every now and again (a few weeks) is is "dead" when I turn the key. It will sometimes start later or with a push, battery/starter connections have been cleaned. I suspect the starter solonoid as the starter motor seems quite lively. Can the solonoid be replaced seperately? Any other ideas?

  The oil and battery warning lights have come on today in my car, at the same time the rev counter has stopped working. I've also got an intermittent problem with the front windows and electric rear view mirrors, they will work fine for a few weeks or even months, then they just stop!

  I have removed the CAR300 stereo from my Corsa, as the battery went dead and it went into SAFE mode. I thought I knew the code, had 3 attempts, then left it. I put the stereo back in but now it won't allow me to enter any codes. Just stuck on 7 SAFE. Is this normal, do I need to do something else?

  The car is a 2 litre D4D Rav4 on an 03 plate. The only problems over the three years of ownership was a new battery after leaving the car in the garage when we were in Spain for six months. Is it really worth the cost?
