  hi there, Anyone got any ideas my mgf when you start it sounds very rough then however it does start when you do give it a bit of gas stationary it feels like the whole engine is rocking. I though it might sound like a new car battery because it sounds rough on starting but not sure Can you guys help

  Following on from last postings had the car fixed, the battery was re charge. This made me lose the use of my radio. Does anybody know the factory code for a peugeot 306 1.4 lx 2000 w reg. Or know where i can get it de-coded cheaply. For all those who suggested an earth fault you were correct and thank you.

  Dear All, I am driving Renault Scenic RXE 2.0 (1998). I just replaced my remote keys' batteries. Unfortunately the remote central locking don't work at all, even the immobilizer. My car can not be started now. Can anyone help me how to reset or deactivate the immobilizer OR start the car!

  It usually starts fine but every now and again (a few weeks) is is "dead" when I turn the key. It will sometimes start later or with a push, battery/starter connections have been cleaned. I suspect the starter solonoid as the starter motor seems quite lively. Can the solonoid be replaced seperately? Any other ideas?

  The oil and battery warning lights have come on today in my car, at the same time the rev counter has stopped working. I've also got an intermittent problem with the front windows and electric rear view mirrors, they will work fine for a few weeks or even months, then they just stop!

  I have removed the CAR300 stereo from my Corsa, as the battery went dead and it went into SAFE mode. I thought I knew the code, had 3 attempts, then left it. I put the stereo back in but now it won't allow me to enter any codes. Just stuck on 7 SAFE. Is this normal, do I need to do something else?

  The car is a 2 litre D4D Rav4 on an 03 plate. The only problems over the three years of ownership was a new battery after leaving the car in the garage when we were in Spain for six months. Is it really worth the cost?

  Just had a thought - what's going to happen to the electric car (should it ever materialise in the next 50 years) in winter? Switching on the heater would draw another 1000W from the car's batteries, which would mean you grind to a halt about half a mile up the road. I imagine this is just another (of many) reasons why the whole "electric car" scenario is never going to work.

  i have recently bought a g reg astra gte with a fuel problem i have investegated and found out that the amps from the battery are not getting to the fuel pump, i had disconnected the fuel pump and had it running so its not that. i was woudering if a relay had gone or something but i dont have any knowledge on these cars.

  I've tried the instructions and followed them to the letter but the next time I unlock the car the code has to go in manually. Is it me or is it Peugeot electrics? Is there a back up battery that remembers the settings that needs changing? Help!!

  Could anyone shed any light (pun not intended!) as to why I am in a constant battle with blowing bulbs on my 1994 diesel Mondeo! A new battery did little for this. Apart from this annoying and rather expensive pastime, it is a great car at 127000 miles and not losing a drop of oil in its 140 mile daily round trip! Any clues, hints or even plain answers will be gratefully received!

  Not sure of the model but it’s about a 2004 5 gear tdi estate. After sitting for a good while with battery disconnected, everything’s fine except the driver’s door window is stuck up. No response when activating the “down” switch. I’m stuck in Latvia without a wiring or fuse diagram. Could some kind soul point me at the fuse number and its whereabouts ?

  2005 - Replaced car battery yesterday. Today started up fine. After driving for half an hour or so. 3 beeps intermittently.  Then orange warning light came on (diesel - light usually comes on when starting up, goes off after approx 5 seconds, can then start up).

  Is this likely airbag or seat belt tensioner. Any obvious checks to carry out. I wondered if disconnecting battery and then check connectors under drivers seat. Appreciate any help as garage cant look at it for several weeks. Thanks Matt

  Purchase new Lexus no hybrid and we will in rural area. What we were not aware of is car not rodent proof. Squirrels got in through battery and caused over £7000.00 worth of damage by eating interior. Lexus not at all interested or helpful, the dealership in Bolton and Hesd Office. Has car repaired but they said they were unable to make rodent proof.

  Hi All  My wife went to the car to go out and opened the car with the remote , the car screen lit up then went off and the car has no power at all, only the Garmin dash can light in the ODB was flashing quickly, I had to lock the car with the key manually.  Is this a battery issue please.  thanks

  His reign brought a bit of fun back to the range with GT86, new Supra and a couple of quick Yaris’, but there is speculation that he’s moving aside for missing the boat on EV. Toyota is going from industry leaders with Prius to playing a massive game of catch up with battery electric vehicles. Maybe this development will bring Toyota’s hydrogen experiment to an end.

  - Return (bottom) hose from rad is very hot, hotter than the input (top) hose. - Started doing this after I replaced the battery. But I would expect a blown fuse to cause the fan *not* to come on.

  Can anybody tell me please, if the car suffers a complete electrical failure (no lights on dashboard when ignition turned, engine does turnover, windows won’t work etc), but battery is fully charged, whilst the car is parked with the electronic hand brake on, will the hand brake remain on or will it release?   Hi,  A local mechanic was doing a bit of work on my car. He had to disconnect the battery and now i have to enter a code for the radio to turn it on which i don`t have.  Does anybody know what the code could be or how i go about getting the code to get the radio working again?
