• Microwave and Mazda 6 alarm 7 May 2005 (Forum)
  Whenever I park my Mazda 6 next to the kitchen and use the microwave to cook some healthy porridge the alarm goes off! Its okay if I deactivate the sensors inside the cabin..Are there any physicist's out there who can explain this phenomenon?

  The cars a Mazda 323F 1999 50k miles. It had new ignitors/coils last year and has now lost power dramatically , but once its "on the cam" it goes Ok. Have the ignitors/coils gone again?

    Mazda insisting that wear happened due to delayed service!!!!!! I have spoken to 2 independent mechanics who both dispute this and suggest there is something more sinister going on. HELP!!!

  The garage I took it to (not Mazda dealer)but local to me and very helpfull on servicing all of my cars for a good few years) informed me that the diagnostics said the ABS pump was Kaput - and it would cost me £1300.00 to replace - backed up by a call from me to Mazda !

  I have a Mazda and I am delighted with it. Maybe because the Mazda outlets did so well this year was the reason the sales staff in 2 x Mazda outfits did not get a sale. Ignored in 1 outlet (he did not get out his chair when asked for the price of a car in the showroom) and not given the attention I thought was required at another when I asked about a test drive.

  Just wondering how many other Mazda Diesel drivers have experienced problems with their Diesel Particulate Filter. My Mazda 6 2.0TS engine blew up about 11 weeks ago and now the bill to fix it is nearly up to £9,000. I want to know if many other drivers are experiencing their oil levels rising a little too quickly for their liking?

  As I understand it, I would then need to buy replacements but I'm wondering if I would need to buy them specifically from Mazda? Also, I was wondering what best size tyre I should get?  Atm the car has a set of 205/60/r16 but I have read in the manual that you can also have 195/65/r16.  I was wondering which size would be best?

  Hello, Sorry to bother you, I sent John this question yesterday not realising that this was the place to send questions which are related to technical matters, really sorry about that. I wanted to ask you about a problem that has developed with our mazda 121, its a 1997 model (it genuinly looks like a ford fiesta to me in my opinion though, but I dont want to offend ford or mazda's loyal fans by saying so incase anyone takes offence) Its an automatic too but when I start it from been stood (cool engine) and put it in Drive or Reverse it really stutters/shudders and quite often cuts out?

  My 59 plate Mazda 2 won't start when the temperatures are low (around minus 5 and below).  This first happened last Winter.  I assumed it was a flat battery (the car hadn't been driven over the weekend so I got a local garage to jump start it and no problems).

  After reading loads of threads I think I know the answer but I guess I'll find out by asking direct. My Mazda 6 2L Diesel, 53 plate, wont fire. It turns over just fine but will not fire. Changed the glow plugs, checked fuel is going to the injectors (it is), fuses OK, fuel filter cleaned. Local garage (not dealer) isn't getting any fault codes.

  I have had a 2008 Mazda 6 diesel for a year. The fuel consumption in general is very good until the car decides to rev higher than normal. I keep the computer set for average fuel consumption because of the infuriating problem the car has.

  Driving my newish (to me) Mazda 6 through town this morning, I flicked on the cruise control at 30mph as it sudddenly dawned on me that it would be a good idea to help me keep to 30 along a road with several speed cameras. After about 500 metres or so, the road took a dip downhill on what is a fairly steep gradient (bicycles are often travelling faster than cars down this particular stretch).

  I was just browsing the MS Virtual Earth blog to catch up on the latest news about the development of maps.live.com when I came across this interesting piece entitled "Texas Shredder meets the Mazdas of the Cougar Ace" http://tinyurl.com/65uyk2 (virtualearth.spaces.live.com/blog/) Which led me to a Wired article about a ship which suffered a little pumping mishap en route carrying around 5000 new Mazdas from Japan to USA.

  My daughters Mazda 3 has a frustrating fault whereby the TPMS switches off but then tge light comes on again. Being the system working off tabs will the fault be associated with the sensor  for ABS

  Reports in Autocar about Mazda 3 s draining their batteries when the dashboard lights are left on overnight. Attempts to jump start by recovery firms have allegedly resulted in dashboard meltdown. They recommend recovering to Main dealers

  Hi All,   Is there anyone knows what is the difference between the MZR 2.0 DISI and the 2.0 DOHC 16V petrol engine? Which one is better or is there any difference at all? I have seen the DISI engine in Mazda Takuya and the other one in the TS2 series. Thank you
