I had my latest eye examination and eyelea injection this morning, and also a nice chat with the Consultant. I am still ok for driving, not borderline yet and feel ok about driving, but there are signs of deterioration. He didn't keep it for long when he found out there is a significant problem with the design of the offside drive shaft. There is a splined coupling joining two sections of the shaft together. Sometimes known as a 'Muff' cooupling. The splines on this coupling shred meaning drive is lost on that side. -

Informed that clutch could go at any minute. Dealer agreed to repair but only if I drive car the 70 miles to his workshop. I am not prepared to drive an unsafe vehicle so I want to get the repair done locally to me and invoice the dealer. Can I do this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -

Lubricating drive belt when very dry and squeaking and making clicking or tapping noise when starting up. Is is possible please to use WD 40 on drive belts or are you not allowed to do this please? Makes squeaking and clicking or tapping sounds when very cold and starting up. -

"new look" driving licence" "new look" "log book" all new documents only in English, but why should dvla assume that everyone who lives in wales really "wants" the documents in welsh as well, doesn't all this extra paperwork cost a fortune, surely it could be voluntary, ie tick box at renewal/change of address? -

Hi, my car starts droning from around 20 miles an hour! I have had the left front wheel bearing changed, all drive belts are fairly new. There is no noise at idle or 2-3000 revs whilst not moving. I have noticed that when I drive around a left hand bend it disappears then returns when on straight, also gets louder around right hand bend! -

Hi, Can someone please help me understand if its ok for a manufacturer to state: Change your oil and oil filter every 6,250 or less if: (only one point added from handbook) 1. Driving for long periods in cold temperatures or driving regularly at short distances only. We're travelling to London from the midlands on 1 January with two other families, staying overnight som we can see a matinee on 2 Jan. So should we ... travel by train (risk of delays/cancellations given the dates)? drive down and park somewhere overnight? If the latter, where can we park in or on the outskirts of London? I seem to remember in the 90s driving to Watford and getting a train from there, though we didn't park overnight. -

Hey everyone, Im in the middle of putting an engine back in my focus, But the drive shafts need sorting. The section that goes into the gear box have come off whats the best way to hold them back together some people have said cable ties or jubilee clips not sure whats best ? Also on one of the drive shaft tripod bearings has come off do I need to replace the whole tripod or can I get a new bearing ?
