I have always driven petrol manual cars and am aged 71. My last three cars have been 1.6 Honda Civics and I have always been pleased with them apart from the fact that I am a little disappointed with the acceleration when changing down to overtake etc. Honda has brought out a hybrid, CR-Z coupe that I am interested in. The blurb says it is a 1.5 litre engine but provides performance similar to the 1.8 litre engine. What are your views on this car and would I find it vastly different to drive compared to a petrol engine? At my age I don't want to have to master a totally different way of driving and would be very grateful for your thoughts before I book a test drive.

The CR-Z is so oversubscribed in Japan that Honda has restricted opportunities for people like me to test-drive it (I was otherwise engaged on the only chance I was given). But I can reassure you that driving hybrids generally presents no difficulty at all.
