Hi, my car starts droning from around 20 miles an hour! I have had the left front wheel bearing changed, all drive belts are fairly new. There is no noise at idle or 2-3000 revs whilst not moving. I have noticed that when I drive around a left hand bend it disappears then returns when on straight, also gets louder around right hand bend! I have had all wheels of the ground and checked for play but all seem ok! Totally baffled and doing my head in!

Tyres. Has it started since you had them replaced? I have a Saab 9-5, which has a bizarre characteristic like all Saab 9-5s, that the rear tyres wear oddly causing a droning noise, but the noise sounds as if it's coming from the front. You could try swapping the front tyres to the back, and vice versa, to see if the noise changes.
