Ford Escort Sport 1989 (mk4) - Bonnet release broken - Now how do I get it open!? 20 Apr 2011 (Forum)
I took a closer look and the wire still seems to be attached to it so I think the problem is at the release under the bonnet. Any Ideas as to how on earth I might be able to get my bonnet open!? I can't even drive the car to the garage as the battery is disconnected as I dont drive it very often, Any helpful advice would be much appreciated. -

Ford Focus 1.8TDCi 2004 - Warning lights 28 Mar 2011 (Forum)
Hi 5 weeks ago the Glow Plug warning came on when driving. I stopped the car, switched the engine off, waited a few seconds, re-started the engine - no more warning light. All has been OK....... until yesterday. Driving at 65mph the engine suddenly felt hesitant, and both Glow plug and Engine Warning lights were on. -
Volkswagen Polo III - CEL light on - cylinder 2 misfire 1 Mar 2011 (Forum)
I changed the HT leads which solved the problem for about 10 miles. I then replaced the coil pack which significantly improved the drive quality. The light has since come back on. The car drives better than it ever has, there is no loss of power and it idles comfortably. The garage do not know what the problem is. -

What IS it with motorcyclists 12 Jul 2010 (Forum)
Driving my daughter to school the other morning. Driving around a right hand bend that straightens out on approach to a turning on the left. A motorcyclist approaching the give way line at speed from this turning, looks at me approaching, does not attempt to slow down and crosses into my path. -
Ford Mondeo - Speedometer drops to Zero - once on every journey. 11 Jun 2010 (Forum)
Also, it is not an intermittent problem (i.e. probably not a loose or poor electrical or mechanical connection) because it happens JUST ONCE on every journey from cold, and always after about 4 miles of driving. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks. -
Ford focus 1.8l petrol - Mpg on 1.8L petrol 24 May 2010 (Forum)
It will be best that everybody provides their average speed from the trip computer of their vehicle in order to have a better understanding of the type of driving the said vehicle is subjected to. I live in south london, I work nearer to the city and i drive there. I am getting an average speed of 12mph with an mpg of 28mpg. What is the reading on everybody else's trip computer. -

Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 06 1.8 Windscreen surround loose... how to fix! 17 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Today, after driving about 60 miles on the motorway, I heard a odd 'wind rushing' noise from the car - as if the window was open, although all were closed. Anyway, it turned out that the surround above the front windscreen is a bit loose - presumably a goodly bit of high-speed driving and wind did the rest! -
Peugeot 307 (2001 - 2007) - 04 1.6 front springs 15 Feb 2010 (Forum)
The front spring has cracked on my car suddenly and I'm at a loss as to how this could happen. 50000 miles on the clock, mortorway and A road driving, a wee bit of to the shops driving too. My list of failures in the last 8 months are: turbo, EGR valve, fuel cap sensor, 2 wheel bearings, full set of pads, rear discs and yet more pads, battery and the fuel stuff toped up. -

When the car is turned off and on again the light goes out and it continues to drive ok. has happened every day since when cold especially. -
Easily done if you're not concentrating 19 Nov 2009 (Forum)
I admit I put the CC3 in gear to pull away too, but realised in time the lights were still on red. I think the driving of the second car was poor, but could best be described as: "Easily done if you're not concentrating." Anyone else done something daft while thinking about other things? -
Selby Rail Crash Vol 1. [Read only] 17 Nov 2009 (Forum)
I doubt there are many who can say they have *never* nodded off, even slightly, on the way home. Employees driving on the company's behalf are also in the dock, so to speak. All my high mileage is work related and it is not uncommon for me to drive from Taunton to Sittingbourne and back in a day - a 5am start and home by 10pm. -
Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 02 2.0 tdci 130 noisy on idle, clears up when revv 12 Nov 2009 (Forum)
However the noise on idle before and after the injector change is still there, seems to be coming from timing chain area. car has done 74k and drives nicely, the noise on idle seems to go when pressing on, though still can be heard at times when driving. Could it be a tensioner or pulley? Has anyone else had this problem? It is quite loud, esp. when idling -

Mitigating circumstances for red light penalty... 8 Sep 2009 (Forum)
As I have accumulated 9 points within 3 years, this will lead to a totting up ban. I went through the light in Bristol at 1.30am in the morning following a 5 hour drive from Manchester in my camper van on the way to Cornwall. I got lost on the roundabout, had to switch lanes and then got flashed. Does the fact that it was so late there were no other cars on the road, that I was tired and lost count as mitigating circumstances or will the court simply argue that I should therefore not have been driving?
