  Need a small used petrol automatic with decent amount of poke. Budget £18,000. Looking at 5 door mini cooper (need boot space) and toyota yaris so far. I don't want to sound like I'm screaming up the A40. Any opinions would be appreciated and also is there anything else out there thay I should consider.

  A friend's Mini is showing fault code P0087 - Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low. A garage diagnosed an issue with the fuel pump, sent it away for repair, and refitted. It has a slight misfire when started, but it quickly clears, however the MIL is on and the only fault code is P0087.
• Brand new Mini - Driving on trade plates - Stopped by police 27 Jul 2014 (Forum)
  Hi people, this morning I was stopped by a traffic officer whilst on road test as part of a PDI on a brand new unregistered Mini. He said I was committing an offence by not displaying a number plate even though I was displaying a valid pair of trade plates front and rear. Does anybody have any thoughts on the validity of this claim as this would have big ramifications for moving new/unregistered cars around.

  i have a 07 mini cooper d with oil pressure issues. She heard a noise in the engine, felt the pedal was a bit funny, ( loosing power i'd say) oil light came on, drove about another mile and finished her journey. Now start the car when its cold it runs fine no lights on, until it heats up a bit  and thins the oil of course, lights on and starts kocking and rattling.

  I am planning on taking out a years warranty for my new mini cooper S.I am tied between warranty direct and warranty wise, both have offered me deals.Warranty Direct offered me £235 per year and with the extra care cover and warranty wise have offered me £295 for their gold cover, I'll pay the extra if its worth it.But don't knwo if it is?

  I have a mini cooper 06 which has done about 27K miles.  Last month the coolant started leaking and recently BMW found the thermostat + thermostat housing was at fault. This was replaced by BMW and the coolant level on the day was topped up to max.

  Hi, I am after some advise after storing my brother's Mini Cooper S in my garage. I moved it into the garage a month or so ago and it started no problem but I went to move this weekend and it wouldn't start. All the dash lights came on and it made a clicking sound when I turned the key but the car did not start.

  I'd appreciate some help with a problem I'm having with an automatic, 1.3 1996 Mini Mayfair. The car starts first time and pulls away OK, however when slowing down when the car is cold it sometimes splutters and then stalls. The car can be restarted OK, however it sometimes stalls a couple of times when pulling away.

  Anyone seen that infuriating Mini commercial about the Curse of the Mummy that makes your whole screen go black? Keeps getting me when I'm accessing the Telegraph.   Hello, I had a coolant leak and took it to a mini dealer to check out. was told they were confident that they had found the leak and the gearbox oil cooler needed to be replaced only. agreed to this and within 2 weeks the engine coolant was leaking again.

  The scheme is for three years from new. They're all comparable price and comparable mpg (maybe the mini would be a bit better considering ltos of short journeys) and comparable size and shape. Perhaps the merc is the snazziest looking in white. The mini is also quite stylish. Maybe the volvo would be best for the motorway miles.

  Hi,  It may ring a bell to some of you that I posted on here my Mini was having some really significant engine problems - I was asking for your advice.  I have since returned the car to the garage, and they have diagnosed the engine as having low engine oil pressure, and rather than pay to keep replacing parts/having me return to keep getting the engine looked at, they have agreed to source a whole replacement engine.

  However I do understand the importance of maintaining them correctly - both cars are serviced when required and the oil level/tyre pressures etc are checked at least every 2 weeks. I was wondering if it is normal for a low mileage Mini to use such a lot of oil. The Ford Ka my wife drove for 4 years prior to getting the Mini never used any oil between services. Thank you in advance for any help!

  Thinking of buying a 1986 Austin Mini Piccadily. Car is to be used daily for a 10 mile commute to and from home to work by me (although boyfriend would technically own the car). Has 65k and six months MOT remaining - last MOT only cost the £45 odd plus a new bulb so I'm guessing it's in pretty good nick.
