  Most of the other posts say theirs is using oil whereas mine is note using any. Warning lights of water in fuel filter and also fuel injection system fault comes up. That's if the dashboard is actually working at that point. If anyone has any ideas would be grateful.

  Is there an easy rule of thumb to make the conversion and (possibly more important) is there a work around to convert the trip computer to 'miles/gallon'. I can't find anything in the Owner's Handbook. The other readings ('average speed 'and 'fuel left before empty' are in Imperial measures). Help would be appreciated.

  It does not happen when the car is driven from cold and also will not happen while the vehicle is stationary (revving it) I realise thatv there was an issue with "delaminating fuel tanks" but I thought this only happend with the earlier models (this is a 2006). Can somebody explain how this can affect the injectors? Could this be a problm with the actual injectors or a fuel pressure problem?

   this has car given us a lot of grief before. About a month ago we had this same problem we had the injectors and HP fuel pump checked all was within specs. we tried a hp fuel pressure regulator on it from another car and it worked fine. We installed a new one then and it has worked fine for a month. Now we have the same problem again.

  Hello My wifes car has been off the road and I'm getting a bit desparate HELP   In October it just stopped going up a hill and was recovered home Where my usual Honda trained mobile mechanic established ignition spark ok fuel to injectors ok but fuel did not seem to be getting past the injectors. Atfer more checking the ECU was sent to EUC testing who after 14 working days reported no fault and sent it back.

  I'm not so sure about the reliability though. A few horror stories around the internet, which seem to centre on the 2.0litre diesel(poor fuel economy, engine probs) I wonder if the 1.6 diesel unit is a better, more reliable unit. It should also have better fuel economy. Monthly running costs are very important to me, I can't afford a car which is going to let me down.

  To rectify this the ignition needs switching off and on again and the fault goes away. I have had the car into the dealer who changed the fuel filter with no curing of the problem, they said that it could be the fuel pump which would be 2 grand to change (the car is no longer under warranty). Any ideas? {The 3 separate requests to include year & engine details in the subject header must have been playing hide & seek when you composed your question.

  Car starts fine but idles between 800-1200 rpm. feels very much like car running on three cylinders then back to four. very laboured up hills. None of the changes stopped the misfire(fuel consumption increased big time). Booked car into garage no faults come up on diagnostics comp but they changed a temp switch near distributor, after recording high fuel readings (no change). They are now advising new epu?

  Luckily she did NOT start the car....... however inorder to push the car out of way the ignition had to be put on to free up the steering wheel and put the car in N (it is an automatic) I HOPE and pray that a full tanke drain should do the trick.. because the car had not actually run out of fuel am I right in assuming that techincally no Petrol should have made it to the Injector pump?.. of course the electronic lift pump would have kicked in but fingers crossed. Recovery took the car to a local garage who will drain the trank and change the fuel filter, (I guess that is the moment of truth.....)

  hi all Our problem started sunay when our 2.2 tid (85,000 miles)would not start. we filled up at tesco the previous evening and then home. there had been no previous warnings. Only recent problem being the fuel gauge would occasionally drop then return while in use. the other problem noticed is the fan cuts in after trying to start it for a few seconds then off the car has since gone into the garage and they have diagnosed fuel pump gone, all in bill of £2000!

  She ALWAYS restarts after cut out and electrics do not seem to be affected.
