  I had been looking and what with the price of bikes in the UK at present it's no surprise Europeans are attending. 08 model year unregistered GSX1000R for £7595 and 0% finance up to 42 months. The same bike in Germany retails at 12,490?.

  Citroen dealer near me is advertising a C6 2.7HDI V6 Auto for £25,555. Car has covered 20mls, is reg Dec 2007 in iron grey metallic. Plus there's four years 0% finance if you can scrape a deposit of £8,950 together. They say the price is 'unbelievable', what do others think?

  HI I am looking at getting a new car. The dealer is offering lower finance if I sign up today and have the car registered today..so it will be a december 05 car . Is there any advantage in having the car registered in january as an 06 car from the resale point of view thanks alan

  My sister recently advertised her Renault Megane for sale in Autotrader. She received persistent calls from a person representing 'Renault Finance'. They claimed the had a customer for the car at or near full asking price. They wanted an upfront fee of £90 to introduce the 'prospective buyer'. I advised her it was probably a scam and she didn't get involved.

  It is young enough to have a year manufactor warranty left but don't know what protection I have for outstanding finance, if there is any. Am buying for son (18) as it was going to cost £3,000 to put him on the insurance for his sisters Proton Compact!!

  I am looking at a car. The seller has stated 'There is currently finance on the car which will be cleared before the car is collected.' any advice on what documents I need to see to know that all is cleared and the car can indeed be legally sold with no comebacks. I presume also that I should not part with any money until such documents are available?

  Now, spoke to someone who’s great with knowledge on the finances etc and was told I should definitely hold off making this commitment and should instead go with getting my mortgage application through first. Can I now tell the dealership I won’t be signing the documents and I am backing out due to this advice?

  I live in rural wales and do around 20,000 miles per year on mainly A and B roads. Averaging around 50mpg in total in the Golf. I am keen to save some money (Golf is on finance at around £300 per month) and wondered about the Hybrid Yaris. I use my car mainly for work and have another car I use weekends. I am saving up for a house so every penny helps. Any Yaris would be around £180 a month on finance.

    She currently has a 2013 Mazda 2 1.33.  The car has no finance on it but it now obviously out of warranty etc. We have 3 options with regards to her new commute, basically the new commute will cost her about £10 a day in fuel (Yaris), £12-13 in the Mazda.

  What I need advice on is the most sensible thing to do: Option 1: get rid ASAP to avoid further depreciation and then buy something suitable in a few years time when I need it Option 2: take the hit, keep the car, keep paying the finance and then I will already have the car I need when I go back to commuting Option 3: something else?   Where do I stand on terms of getting something done to fix my car. I'm currently 3years in to 5year finance deal and my car has just decided to break down on me outside the warranty (3 months). I took it to my local vauxhall garage to explain what was wrong, for them to ring me back later that day to say.

  Does that mean I have another form to sign for the final settlement figures or have I mistakingly signed a document where if they wanted to could say that they can only finance my car with a crazy %APR?     I need this car for my business and I'm starting to wonder if this fault was apparent with the previous owner and that is why they got rid so promptly.  Even if the garage clear the fault again, I have no confidence in this car.  The finance agreement is not even halfway point - do I have any recourse with the dealership as its clearly not safe to drive?

  The issue is:  "Interest registered against a previous plate" it goes on to say: Plate Transfer The current plate was transferred to this vehicle on 31/08/2010 X6*** was applied to this vehicle on 28/07/2009 This VRM has been recorded as having an outstanding finance agreement An outstanding finance agreement was recorded on 11/11/2008 against a VAUXHALL ASTRA SPORT HATC Y*****E was applied to this vehicle on 01/02/2008 There are no interests recorded against Y*****E Y*****E is the VRN of the car I'm going to see and it was first registered on 01/02/08 If anyone could explain, as if talking to a very dim person, just what this means, whether I have anything to worry about and what I should do next about I would be most grateful!

The sad thing is, he doesn't even have a bad credit record.

  With car main dealers going bust/closing now on an unfortunately regular basis what happens to their new unregistered and pre reg stock? Does it belong to the manufacturer, a finance co or the dealer themselves? If so does this "new" stock find its way into the car auctions? Are these generally as closed sales or as ones open to the public? Are there bargains to be had. What about the remaining manufacturer warranty?

  Nottingham apparently levies a charge of something like £400 per year per parking space on companies with 10 or more parking bays used by workers. They use the money raised to finance public transport, trams and cleaner buses. Birmingham is introducing a London style pollution charge in the city centre all in the name of cleaner air, the powers that be want us all on public transport.
