  • Vauxhall Corsa - Changing car 7 Nov 2014 (Forum)
Hi guys, we are considering changing my wife's troublesome Peugeot 207. Peugeot eventually cured the coolant loss problem of a couple of months ago but it has now developed a EMU problem that has got Peugeot baffled. Had a look at various car supermarkets and the choice has been reduced to a 1.2 SXi which are plentiful but without air con and a couple of 1.4's with aircon.
  • Peugeot 206 - Seeking advice 20 Sep 2014 (Forum)
The gear lever moves to all positions and while phsically on drive position car can move but display is still showing R, My local mechanic also identified that N/S driver shaft seal leaking and suggested to take the car to Peugeot garage for which i am planning to do for diagnostics, Wondering if some one experienced the same issues and its gona a be an easy fix or an expansive fix with future risk with the gearbox?
  • Why is my Peugeot 306 losing power? 23 Jul 2014 (Ask HJ)
My Peugeot 306 1.6 petrol has started losing power. It struggles to climb hills and feels low of power on idle. I have changed the spark plugs and the...
  • Peugeot 607 - Telematics Unit Failure 14 May 2014 (Forum)
They checked the unit but could only advise it was receiving power. A few weeks later the disc ejected of its own accord. A chap on a Peugeot forum advises that the disc should have been left in the unit with the engine running all day if necessary to reboot the system properly; the dealer's failure to do this has probably irreparably damaged the unit (which costs £2k + VAT to replace).
  • Why is my Peugeot leaking water? 13 Apr 2014 (Ask HJ)
I have water leaking into the spare wheel tyre well on my Peugeot 508, is this a common fault and can it be easily fixed?

  • Peugeot 207 SW - 40,000 mile service - whats included 26 Mar 2013 (Forum)
'A' type is 20k miles and 'C' type is 60k miles. I then rang a local garage that is registered for Peugeot and they say it needs a full service and that would be £317. They say they are normally £100 cheaper than a main dealer and that the other one has it wrong. Cant see on internet who is right as there is not list of what is included and what is not.
  • Peugeot 307 - Heater blower motor 18 Mar 2013 (Forum)
I thought the problem would be a fuse but am unable to fine any reference to a fuse in the Haynes manual or the Peugeot handbook, I have now been told the problem is likely to be the blower motor resistor faulty, however previous experience with blower motor resistors (Vectra's) the fan will still usually operate on full speed.
  • Peugeot 307 - Brake fluid sensor fault code 5383 8 Mar 2013 (Forum)
My local garage has diagnosed as fault code 5383, brake fluid sensor electrical fault. No live feed is reaching the sensor. It has been suggested to take my car to peugeot as there could be a wiring loom issue. This sounds potentially expensive and I'm seeking advice as to whether to proceed or not. Has anyone any experience of electrical faults and garages? My car is 10years old and 150k on the clock.
  • Peugeot 407 coupe - Snow damage 20 Feb 2013 (Forum)
The water gathered in the spare wheel well and other recesses in the boot where various ECUs are placed. I'm trying to dry out the ECUs rather than replace.  It seems that the Peugeot 407 has a reputation for leaky rear light clusters often showing tell tale condensation inside them.  I had no idea so much damage could be caused! The lesson I've learnt is not to leave your car covered in snow.
  • peugeot 206hdi - car will not start when cold 15 Jan 2013 (Forum)

  • peugeot 205 1.9 GTI - oil pressure 8 May 2012 (Forum)
I've bought a peugeot 205 1.9 gti as a non runner. Before i bought it i knew that the cam belt had snapped a new head fitted. The problem that i have is that there is no oil getting to the head.I've changed the spring and piston in the oil pump but to tell the truth i haven't checked if there is any drive to the pump..if there is drive to the pump what else could be the most likely problem.I've removed the oil pressure sensor from the block and there doesn't seem to be any oil getting up there.Could damage have been done to the bottom end of the block when the cam belt snapped?.
  • Peugeot 206 - poor wiper blades/system 3 May 2012 (Forum)
my daughter has a P206 1.4 petrol 5dr X2000. and is often complaining how poor the wiper system is. i eventually took a look, and she's correct... *rap would be my description. i checked with Peugeot to see if we have the right size (22"/22" - yes) and replaced with some new 'flat blade' retro fit type, to see if that helps... nope! the wiper motor is probaly not as good as it used to be, but i'm my view it's down to the windscreen design. on the far right driver side about 2" of the wiper coverage area is missed by the strangely sloping/curved windscreen... is this normal or maybe we have a poorly manufactured screen.

Hi i desperately need some ideas, my usually very reliable peugeot 406 hasnt been starting since the last lot of snow. I have had the glow plugs changed and still no luck. It will bump start and jump start eventualy, the battery has also been checked and that is ok too. the last time it started there was thick black smoke coming out of the exhaust, could this be a clue?
  • Peugeot Servicing Cost 21 Feb 2011 (Forum)
My Peugeot 307 HDI (02 reg) has just had it's 24k service at a local main dealer and they charged £480, which seems very expensive to me. This included replacement of all brake pads, which came to around £200 of the bill even though they had quoted £109 when they called me to say they were worn.
  • 2002 Peugeot 307 1.4 petrol style - Stalling 307 21 Jan 2011 (Forum)
I bought my peugeot from a dealership in December gone and had nothing but trouble but my main concern is that the car stalls when I approach a junction or roundabout. Its not all the time but enough for it to become a pain. had it back to the dealer who tells me nothing is showing on diagnostics, they say it doesnt have a idle speeed control (hm???)
