  I've heard that there's currently a recall on A6 2.0 TDI injectors. I have an October 2006 Audi A4 2.0, does this recall apply to me?

• Audi A4 Avant - New car A4 Avant or 3 series touring - diesels 1 Dec 2010 (Forum)
    The 3 series touring are now significantly cheaper because I think there is a facelifted 3 series on the way for 2011. However the new A4 is much improved and a really nice car too, plus my current Audi has been trouble free. To my mind the pros and cons are that the BMW is perhaps a slightly better drive, but the downside is those stupid run-flat tyres and a more cramped interior. The Audi will also remain a newer model for longer, but is £2K more.

  I bought a temp switch but i couldn,t find where it went all the sensors i found did not match what they gave me unless its the wrong one,does anyone know where its located?,anyone any idea i dont wont to put it into audi for them to empty my bank account just yet.

  They have also tried fitting a suppressor on the mains line, which made no difference. The original Audi unit didn't do this, so I am puzzled as to why non-Audi kit does it. Any thoughts as to what I am missing!? Dave

  New A6's have been upgraded to 163bhp so the problem is resolved. Not so for the "old" (2002) ones like mine. Audi have been courteous and efficient, declare it as known problem, but say they cannot fix it. Any suggestions? It was minus 2 centigrade this morning....great start to the day!

  I replaced them with new spark plugs, only to discover the engine now idles at the 2500rpm. I have checked i bought the right spark plugs, I even checked with Audi-uk to confirm the model and engine size. It has been mentioned to me the engine is running far too lean??? Any ideas.

  During, temperature guage normal, but warning light blinking on and off the whole way (most unnerving!), with one or two times went off for about ten seconds. I believe Audi's of this vintage are prone to electrical 'glitches' of which this was probably one. Comments???

  Anyone thinking of buying a new Golf should seriously look at the new Audi A3. I have owned 4 Golfs in my life. I saved up and delayed replacing my old car so that I could get the new Mk V Golf. However when I went to look at it, in my opinion the interior has been downgraded and it looks ever more like the Polo.
