Why don't all wipers wipe from the centre? 8 Sep 2009 (Forum)
Looking at a Renault Modus in the supermarket car park yesterday, I noticed that the wipers operate from the centre of the screen outwards so there isn't an unswept area left on one side or the other, usually the passenger's. -

Farewell diesel? 25 Aug 2007 (Forum)
I found this on the channel4.com site: "Like Volkswagen, Renault is predicting a swing in consumer preferences back towards petrol engines when the Euro V legislation comes in. Diesel engines will have to become more expensive, with more sophisticated emissions control devices such as advanced catalysts and particulate filters, and customers may not be prepared to pay a for it, particularly in smaller cars." -
Most Comfortable Car 24 Aug 2007 (Forum)
I drive 66 miles a day over a mix of A & B roads to and from work in a Renault Clio. At the end of each day I feel all of those 66 commuted miles. The Citroen C5 with its soft suspension might be the sort of car to all a drive of that distance in good comfort. What's the view out there are to the most comfortable car out there for that kind of journey so that 66 miles might feel more like 33? -

Where can I get ply lining patterns? 20 Nov 2005 (Forum)
I am keen to ply line my Nissan Primastar van. It's the same body as the Vauxhall Vivaro and the new Renault Trafic. With kits so expensive, when compared to the cost of the materials used, I'm keen to lay my hands on some patterns that I can just staple to the sheet material and then cut around with a jigsaw. -

I'll be there if anyone else is, introduce yourself, I'll be under the green and blue brolly wearing a red and black...anorak. -

Now, I know nothing I can do is going to remove depreciation from the equation but what can I do to minimise it (does it make more sense to buy a 2 year old Ford/Vauxhall/Renault or look towards a VW or something posher). -

Aluminium tank cleaner 7 Aug 2004 (Forum)
On my Renault Premium 44tonne truck, which is 10 months old,my fuel tank is aluminium. However, even so soon,it looks like it is 10 years old, never mind 10 months, and is starting to pit. What can I use thats inexpensive to polish it,bearing in mind it's me that's having to fork out, because my company won't,so I don't want to pay a kings ransom? -
Monaco Grand Prix 26 May 2004 (Forum)
Did any one else find it ironic that the cars, which in road use are reckoned to be extremely reliable, ie Toyota and Honda, blow up regularly; while the Renault which for normal motoring does not have a good reputation for reliability (Sorry RF) just keeps going! Perhaps there is a logical explanation? -
Motorpoint car supermarket 24 Feb 2004 (Forum)
She was going to sign up for another 5 years but I've persuaded her to buy rather then lease what she wanted (Renault Megane 1.4 5dr Dynamique) from Motorpoint for £2700 cheaper. Anyone got any good advice before I go ahead with all of this ? If I get this wrong i'm in for a life of eternal torment :-/ -
500 bhp Laguna 13 Feb 2004 (Forum)
Flicking through some road tests on The Indpendent web site and I came across this brief description of the Laguna estate :- Renault Laguna Sport Tourer 2.0T: £21,645 Supercharged, front-mounted 500bhp V8 makes this a near-dragster, helped by ultra-responsive automatic gearbox, and folding metal roof is neat. Very desirable. -
new car for 10-12k any ideas 24 Mar 2003 (Forum)
Hi guys have 10-12k to spend on a 5 door /saloon hatchback 2-3 years old. What do you recommend? must be very reliable - so no ford, vauxhall, peugeot, renault. Must seat 4/5 manual. Running costs should be reasonable in motoring terms. I was personally thinking of newer shape VW Passat TDI...any suggestions or Volvo S60. Thanks. -
Would you buy a Espace Diesel?? 6 Feb 2003 (Forum)
I am looking for a large economical motor - either MPV or large estate car. As a result of the brand new Renault Espaces coming to market there are some, what appear to be, serious bargains to be had on the old shape. I have seen much negative discussion relating to the Diesel engines - however, is this related to an old spec engine or is the 2.2 unit any good? -
Fog light use 4 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Following the recent thread on the Fog Light Brigade - I've done my own little survey over the past couple of weeks. Not scientific but I have a daily 120 mile round trip mostly motorway. Interestingly, Renaults & Peugeots made up over 60% of the cars I saw during that time with their fog lights on when it clearly wasn't necessary. Made me wonder if the dashboard "fog lights on" indication on these cars is a problem.
