1st service at main dealer 4 Jun 2009 (Forum)
Afternoon everyone. I have a Citroen Picasso 11 months old and coming up for its first service. I was about to book it in when by chance found the following on the net. http://www.servicingstop.co.uk/ Seems a bit to good to be true, they have over 750 garages nationwide, promise to pick up your car from home then deliver back after service. including a wash and vac they use genuine parts and will not invalidate you car warranty. -
Your chance to save ailing motor manufacturers.... 28 May 2009 (Forum)
The mass market brands would be Peugeot, Fiat and Chrysler, with Alfa Romeo pitched to rival Audi, while Jeep would compete with Land Rover. Citroen would become the group's electric vehicles brand. -
At least 20 - 25 percent off new 5 Mar 2009 (Forum)
On ITV's This Morning programme today they had an item about buying new and used cars in the credit crisis. They had Quentin Wilson on and he went through several deals he had found - a 23K Citroen for 16K, a Peugeot and one of those VW Eco cars which is 14K list apparently but he found one from a dealer for about 10K. Anyhow, he concluded that you should be aiming to get at least 20 to 25 percent off the price of any new car in a dealer at the current time! -

Hi,been looking for a medium or largish automatic, and its probably come down to either an Avensis or Vectra,2005 or above. Anybody have one of these cars and could offer some ownership experience please?? -
Motoring stereotypes. 24 Nov 2008 (Forum)
I have noticed that mini-MPVs are predominantly driven by people that HATE cars. The roads are practically full of mimsers in Citroen Picassos. -
Who makes the best small diesel engine? 12 May 2007 (Forum)
Question is who makes the best small diesel engine in terms of longevity? My initial thoughts are either a 1.4Hdi Citroen C3 or a 1.5Dci Renault Clio or Megane. How many miles can I expect these engines to last for? Thanks -
Saxo ignition barrel 1 Jan 2007 (Forum)
The key will turn only far enough to switch the ignition on but not start the car. After discussions with Citroen dealers and cost ranging from £250 to £400 we found a helpful dealer who suggested getting a new lock barrel matched to the original key (the spare) We have been charged £95.46 and given a delivery of 7 to 10 days????? -
Kia Magentis....is it rubbish?? 1 Jun 2006 (Forum)
A very tempting price @ £8999 on the road brand new with a 3 year warranty. If i can get six garand for my Citroen in PX, i can have a brand new car for 3 grand. Sounds too good to be true to me. A few questions ;- 1) Are these things actually any good? 2) Will they stand high mileages? 3) Will it be worth nothing in 3 years time? -
Welded Cat. Box - OK For MOT? 4 May 2006 (Forum)
Folks, The middle exhaust box containing the cat. on my 2.5 Citroen XM (diesel) has rotted on the entry pipes at each end. Milesage is 114K. The box is made of a decent gauge steel, and the rot seems to be very localised around the welds. The rest seems perfectly sound. -
Xantia 1.9TD Lower hub ball joints 4 Apr 2006 (Forum)
Closer inspection reveals play in this joint, even when rocked by hand under load (To clarify, it's the one on the bottom of the great big casting that fixes to the suspension leg and holds the brake caliper.)I assume that I'll need a special spanner to undo this (looks like it needs one of those C shaped spanners). I'm new to Citroen's, this is my first one so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks Keith -
306 HDi Clutch Change 23 Jan 2006 (Forum)
Does the HDi still use that inlet housing on the back of the block, so beloved of failure on the XUD, and should we change this as well? -- RichardW Is it illogical? It must be Citroen.... -

Cit zx & silicone 31 Mar 2005 (Forum)
My son's Citroen ZX has a nice big puddle of water in the rear passenger's footwell. I haven't got a clue how it got there; the door and window seem ok, the sunroof and headlining dont have any tell tale signs of water leakage at all. -
fold rear seat - no room for driver 18 Jan 2005 (Forum)
There is a comment on a posting on the "Citroen C2 Diesel" thread to the effect that if you want to tumble fold the back seats, you have to put the front seat right forward - such that a 6+ footer would struggle to drive. The same comment has been made by a journalist about the Renault Modus, and I remember discovering exactly the same thing when looking at Renaults (a Megane & a Clio) in the showroom a few years ago. -

Car by Car Breakdown 27 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Or are the faults in reality limited to a small number of cars, with general reliability being pretty good? Due to experiences in my Dad\'s old Renaults and Citroens as a kid, I have a phobia about unreliable cars. His Renault 16 used to overheat on every long trip. -
Which MPV? 30 Jun 2004 (Forum)
Three kids have forced MPV time, as we need seven seats. I've narrowed it down to either a new Citroen C8 HDi Exclusive Diesel Auto or a nearly new Renault Grand Espace 2.2 Privilege Auto with a budget of around £22. We intend to keep the car for a long time. The C8 seems to lack the interior quality of the Renault, and I've no experience of long term reliability of either. -
Synthetic Gearbox Oil 2 Dec 2003 (Forum)
The wheel bearing noise I mentioned some time back sounds more like a very slight gear box noise. So slight that my local Citroen indie dismissed it as \"not something to worry about\". He has recommended Slick 50, but I would prefer a drain and decent oil. Any feedback welcome. Terry B, Andy Bairsto, any feedback on permissable XM transmission noise? -
Most expensive widget? 30 Oct 2003 (Forum)
Still reeling from a visit to a Citroen garage yesterday... A small (2cm) bit of plastic has fallen out (broken) of the housing for the sun-roof blind in my Picasso. Apparently you can't just order a replacement widget, but you have to order a whole new blind + housing at about £300!
