Ive been looking at the Kia Magentis...hmmm.
A very tempting price @ £8999 on the road brand new with a 3 year warranty.
If i can get six garand for my Citroen in PX, i can have a brand new car for 3 grand. Sounds too good to be true to me.
A few questions ;-
1) Are these things actually any good?
2) Will they stand high mileages?
3) Will it be worth nothing in 3 years time?
Any comments much apreciated
And finally; is it ant different to the Hyundia Sonata.....they look similar, but the Hyundai cost far more?
Cheers

No idea if they are any good but there have been a few taxi drivers buying these recently so they're proably not that bad. You do usually find though that most taxi drivers choose cars they think are up to the job.
I don't think they will be worth anything in 1 years time let alone 3 years time - if they are that cheap brand new they would need to be extremely cheap to be a viable 2nd hand purchase so unless you are keeping it for a fair while i would not look to buy one.

Is that for the new shape model or the old shape? The old shape was advertised in the news item on the right a few months ago for under £7000. Where have you seen the 9K price?
I believe that it is underneath the same car as the Sonata - although the Sonata has the 5 year warranty as opposed to Kia's 3 year warranty. If you plan to keep the car for a while (at least 5 years) then I guess it could make economic sense...

Magentis is not everyone's choice
However
Motorpoint are selling 1 yr olds for £6000 - approx 10-12,000 miles - that way you get the balance of a 2yr warranty but can lose a max of £6,000 rather than £9,000

It was for the old shape ones. I guess they will cost even less as the new one is introduced.
