Citroen C4 Cactus - Pure Tech 1.2 engine cambelt 11 Sep 2023 (Forum)
I am replying to a question from Mr Richard Sylvester on the 7th of September in which he asked about the manufacturer recall due to cambelt failures. My car had to have the cambelt and many associated parts replaced under the Citroen manufacturer under warranty. I will say that they had to rebuild a lot of the engine and replace many of the internal parts to make sure the cambelt particles which had started to disintegrate were flushed out. -
Citroen C3 - Car value - Worth selling? 4 Apr 2022 (Forum)
Bit of a long one here goes… I was in an accident about a month ago which was my fault and had to pay an excess of 1.4k. It’s a 2016 Citroen C3 and I purchased it for 7k off finance nearly new. I wanted to sell my car after paying off finance and get something nicer but now I’m on the fence about selling as I feel I’ve put too much money into the car and it would not be worth selling at this point. -
Citroen Xsara Picasso (2000 - 2010) - 2004 (54 reg) 2.0 HDI - Engine Fault light on 31 Jul 2017 (Forum)
Some 3 months ago, I took it to my local independent Citroen man with an Engine Fault message. He diagnosed a faulty air-mass sensor as a result of water ingress - the air filter was soaking wet. He replaced both. It seemed fine for a while but recently the same message has appeared fairly regularly in cold and wet weather, resetting itself after a day or two. -
Citroen C4 1.6 VTR plus 18 Jul 2017 (Forum)
However, partially due to financial constraints I've been unable so far to locate an affordable example of the vehicles recommended. I have, however, seen a Citroen C4 VTR plus auto at a local garage via Autodoofer, with low miles. It's a little older than I would have liked, 2012 reg, but ticks all other boxes. Thing is, I know nothing about the model whatsoever. -
Citroen C1 - Advice on first car - C1, Peugot 107 or Aygo 5 Jun 2017 (Forum)
It has to be second hand, and after some research I think I have settled on Citroen C1, Aygo or the 106. I know all are made at the same factory but which should I go for? Has to be 4 doors, and max price...maybe £2000. Ideally £1750. Is there a model thats most reliable from these? -

citroen xsara picasso - rattleing 1 Jul 2014 (Forum)
hi all hope someone can put me in the right direction..ive got a 2001 lx 1.6 citroen xsara picasso,i got it motd and it had 2 advisories, both being the balljoints,on my 2001 lx model i had to get the full wishbones as the balljoints are intergrated on them. i got them both changed and the car was as smooth as ice, then all of a sudden when im driving the car it sounds like a bag of spanners. what i mean is that its very rattlelly on the front end. ive had the wishbones checked over again to make sure all the connercting nuts are tight and they are.im just wondering if the droplinks or the anti roll bar bushes may need changing. the car runs great just that its very rattley from the front end. anyway any suggestions welcome..thanks. -
2013 Citroen 3 1.2 vti selection edition petrol - Rev counter problem? 14 Apr 2014 (Forum)
C3 owners....Hope someone can point me in the right direction...I purchased a brand new citroen c3 in October 2013 the problem I have is that I have noticed that the rev counter whilst reving between 1000 -2000rpm that the needle fluctuates up and down noticebly and you can hear the engine revs moving up and down as the needle moves this is not due to me pressing the accelerator pedal up and down, I have also noticed that when moving out of first gear that the car seems to lunge before moving off....Is the the norm for this 3 cylinder model or is it something that I should go back to the garage with?? -

Citroen Picasso xsara 1.6HDi 90 HP - Negative battery wire bolted to the chassis 2 Mar 2014 (Forum)
Does any menber know where the negatve battery wire is bolted to the cahassis / body (battery is under passenger seat) .The positve wire runs under the floor and emerges at a terminal block under bonnet. But the negative dissapears under the floor, Heynes manual says near battery. not a lot of use as every where is carpeted and stuck downThe reason apart from curiosity is that I have had engine turn over problems and want to check for corrosion, I have put a heavty load on and checked for volt drop from battery terminal to engine block, but would still like to know where the bonding point is. Any help appreciated. PS.asked local Citroen dealer and got blank faces all round!!! -
Citroen C8 - 2.0Hdi poor fuel economy black smoke 21 Oct 2013 (Forum)
Hi all. I have a 2006 Citroen C8 2.0Hdi (NON-FAP) that has never returned fantastic fuel economy. It has always had an issue with black smoke on acceleration. I have blanked off the EGR valve at the inlet end and this has reduced the smoke slightly, although the fuel economy only ever returns 27-29mpg around town and on a long motorway journey never gets above 30mpg. -
Citroen C Crosser 4x4 2,2 Diesel - Car Hesitating on reapplication of throttle 8 Apr 2013 (Forum)
Have had 1.5 tanks of diesel since the misfuel incident. I have had the fuel filter replaced (Genuin Citroen) but no change in symptoms. Local garage can't find any fault codes and could not replicate - however it does it regularly for me albe it less often on some routes than others. Any thoughts? -
Citroen C1 - Clutch/Gearbox issues 21 Dec 2012 (Forum)
Hi all, Hoping to get a bit of advice. I have a Citroen C1 (Rhythm, 2008) with a manual gearbox, and an issue has developed within the last day or so. When the engine is idling, for example if in neutral, if I depress the clutch I hear a rattling noise. -
Citroen C1 4 Year Lease - Deals? 1 May 2012 (Forum)
Evening All, I've just stumbled over what appears to be a decent offer from Citroen, a C1 for £99 per month on a 4 year lease, with the first years' insurance chucked in for free. Being a 20-something driver and thus fair game for stupid insurance premiums (despite a clean license and history), that's not a bad deal at all. -
Citroen Saxo (1997 - 2003) - 99 1.2 heater and HRW Relays 8 Dec 2010 (Forum)
Hi, My niece has a 'W' reg Citroen Saxo 1.2 that the heater blower and the heated rear window are not working. I have tried all the fuses and I suspect that relays are to blame. I checked both the handbook and the Haynes manual which says that if it clicks - it works.
