Interior lights will not work on Citroen C3 Picasso

I have a new Citroen C3 Picasso, but I can't get the interior lights to work when the door is opened. Is this a fault or am I doing something wrong?

Read the manual. There may be a three position switch or you may need to programme this in via the 'settings' menu.
