I have recently purchased a V reg Civic AeroDeck (Estate) and am considering having it converted to run on LPG I would like to know if anyone has had their Civic converted to run on LPG. Are Honda engines OK for Conversion?? Any Horror Stories relating to Honda Engines and LPG. I changed from a 1.6RT Renault Scenic that had an old Gas conversion on it (Non Injection type)and had problems that were quite costly.
  • Jeep cherokee with U/S lpg conversion 29 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Hello all, anybody got the knowledge on LPG conversions? Its a Millenium system about 3 years old. It will run the car ok for a few miles then almost shuts off. ( Car will just idle only) Car runs ok on petrol. Diagnostic inconclusive. Ive re-earthed the solenoids, renewed the stepping motor and substituted a new solenoid for each of the 3 in turn.

  • Jaguar S-Type (1999 - 2007) - 05 3.0 LPG Re-Fueling 2 May 2008 (Forum)
Can anyone explain why lpg fuel pumps are not all set at the same pressure. The reason I ask this is having used quite afew pumps Iseem to get different fill levels. I have 70lt toroidal tank-56lt capacity, only two pumps managed over 50lt and most seem to be 37 to 40lt.
  • Honda Legend LPG conversion 31 Jan 2005 (Forum)
I have spoken to Powershift who say the car is not eligable for a grant (car is over 5 years old) and been on the website www.greenfuel.org.uk who quote £1,870 for the conversion with a projected saving of £1,126.88 per annum based on an annual mileage of 12,000. Firstly, has anyone any experience of running a LPG converted Legend who can vouch for the accuracy of the savings? Secondly, is ther room for discounts on the quoted price for the conversion? No concessions on congestion charging, etc affect me.

  • Honda FRV - LPG Conversion - city driving 9 Aug 2012 (Forum)
It has been very reliable and an ideal family car so I intend to keep it for the next 5 years. I have been thinking of an LPG conversion but cannot actually work out whether or not it is a good idea. I can reasonably work out payback time etc but the real issue is that we do a lot of short journeys under 5 miles. I cannot work out whether or not this is a suitable pattern for an LPG car?

Hello, does anyone have any information on fitting an LPG kit to a 2003 honda accord 2.4i vtec type s. • Jaguar S-Type (1999 - 2007) - (99-07) LPG problem. Gas melting flexible pipes. 21 Dec 2007 (Forum)
I am having problems with my LPG conversion now 18 months down the line. My agent tells me that there may be a problem with the gas melting the flexible pipes, this seems to have raised its ugly head in Holland and I am told that we in the UK export 3 million tons of gas.

Thanks to some very excellent advice from this website I have decided to get my Discovery V8 converted to LPG. • Jeep - Fitted with LPG - good idea? 9 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Daughter's BF, a car enthusiast with a Skyline which he takes to circuits for a nice blast, is apparently thinking of getting rid of his daily-driver Clio and buying a 'Jeep' which will be congestion charge exempt. Seems likely that it will be a 4-litre Cherokee with an LPG conversion. I wonder whether this is a good idea? My feeling is that it will be expensive to run, may have the transmission problems I have read about here, may be troublesome in the LPG department setting aside the availability of the stuff, and may not be CC exempt from next year.
