cost of electronic modules 7 Mar 2003 (Forum)
many drivers are finding that the cost of replacing E.C.U.s on cars out of guarantee is prohibitive, e.g. A.B.S. module on a Citroen- £2000. Many current cars have several modules fitted. I believe that these items are grossly overpriced as a deliberate policy of the car makers. Is there a case for the car makers to be taken to task by the Office of Fair Trading or similar? -
Calling Mr Woollard et el WRC comments please! 21 Jan 2002 (Forum)
Would the Citroen fans like to comment on the failure of *two* of the Xsaras in the Monte Carlo Rally before a valve had been opened in anger and on the cheating swines changing tyres during a fuel-only service? Was it me or did Skoda get *zero* coverage bar the unfortunate Italian-job-esque parking on an alpine hairpin? -
Synergie/806/Ulysse. 20 Oct 2001 (Forum)
After the failure of the PTV to attract, as discussed on a previous thread, I'm now helping a customer look for a proper people carrier (S/H and Diesel). I'm guiding them to a Synergie because of the Citroen connection but what about the "clones"? Are the Peugeot 806 and Fiat Ulysee exactly the same for image and reliability? I have some ideas on this but would be interested to hear views from owners and car park image watchers! -
Berlingo Petrol Van - Citroen steering rack knock 14 May 2014 (Forum)
(ie - rocking from side to side) this can also cause the knocking. April 1st 2014 - Went to a Citroen dealer today who checked it out and said I need a new rack, as they said the rack is what's knocking! I told them I'd only just had a new one fitted! Their diagnosis seems very odd to me, especially when the original rack which was replaced had nothing wrong with it. -
Citroen C3 - EGR Valve and engine diagnositcs 5 Oct 2012 (Forum)
Hi all, I've got a 2004 Citroen C3 SX 1.4 HDi 92Bhp and had the engine light come on recently so took it in to the garage for diagnositcs. Originally it returned four codes but they were not sure is these were old or new codes so reset the computer and told me to come back when the light came back on to see what was there. -
Citroen ZX (1992 - 1998) - 1996 1.9TD drumming / knocking noise 8 Jan 2009 (Forum)
Hi All, I have a Citroen ZX 1.9TD - and it has developed a couple of problems in the last couple of days. 1. The first one is a drumming or knocking noise coming from the front of the car. It sounds like it is coming from the middle of the car, but other times it sounds like it is coming from the nearside front. -
Rumbling Citroen AX 6 May 2003 (Forum)
Car - Citroen AX10 Debut, 1995, 95,000 miles. (Yes, that one - I found a straight bonnet and scuttle panel the right colour for £45). Fault - a regular knocking/rumbling, which sounds as though it is happening once per wheel revolution. -

Developing new engines 15 Aug 2013 (Forum)
Despite their much larger sales volume, Ford couldn't afford to develop new diesels on their own so had to enter a joint arrangement with Peugeot Citroen. What's changed with engine development economics that allows JLR and Volvo to do it on low volumes when Ford couldn't do it on high volumes ? -
Crossover with three separate rear seats 2 Apr 2013 (Forum)
Hi, I'm looking for a new car, and like the idea of changing from a MPV to a Crossover. However the key feature I want is three separate rear seats as in my Citroen C4 Picasso, rather than two seats and a middle bench that most cars have. (I'm not talking separately moving or flipping, a 66/33 split is fine). Any ideas - which crossover has that seating layout? -
Mazda MX5 (1989 - 1998) - Twenty years old - remember when...... 12 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Mazda are releasing a 20th anniversary edition. Thats 2 decades of pretty much the same car! It debuted when the Citroen XM was European Car of the Year. In the same year, the Rover Metro was launched, and Skoda 130L, Lada Riva 1200L and Yugo 511 were all still about! Can't say its not been a durable design! -
LED Daytime Running lights. 22 Nov 2008 (Forum)
..before aftermarket kits like those on the Audi R8 became available. This morning I was followed by a Citroen C4 which had short LED strips along the bottom of the front bumper like those under the headlights of the R8. Looked completely naff. -

24 years with a clean licence, must have done a million miles driving around the country in previous jobs, nowadays 99% of my time is spent driving a Citroen C15 diesel van that couldnt speed if it wanted to. Borrow 'er indoors Pug for an hour and bosh lasered doing 80 in a 70mph limit. Had to tell someone so where better than TBR. Darn it! CBG -
Most Comfortable Car 24 Aug 2007 (Forum)
I drive 66 miles a day over a mix of A & B roads to and from work in a Renault Clio. At the end of each day I feel all of those 66 commuted miles. The Citroen C5 with its soft suspension might be the sort of car to all a drive of that distance in good comfort. What's the view out there are to the most comfortable car out there for that kind of journey so that 66 miles might feel more like 33? -
Insurer won't cover courtesy car 17 Apr 2006 (Forum)
My insurers refused to cover a Citroen C3 courtesy car while my car is being serviced because the courtesy car is expensive!! They won't cover a courtesy car that is more valuable then your own car! Well then, my just over 3 year old C5 is then worthless and I can't be trusted with a nearly new supermini!. -
65mpg is rubbish 6 Mar 2006 (Forum)
I did think that the 1.4 HDi Citroen C2 and C3 having fuel consumption in the 65mpg region was good. But.... A typical 2.0 TD large hatchback weighs about 50% more Has an engine 50% bigger Produces 84% more power (138 v 75bhp) Accelerates quicker, especially in-gear acceleration and... only uses about 1/3rd more fuel. -
c15 ijector pump failed, help! 23 Nov 2005 (Forum)
Citroen C15 injector pump failed..fuel getting to the pump and the solenoid is tested ok. It's a Lucas pump on a non turbo 1.9d. How hard is this to change and set up. I'm waiting for the manual to arrive, looks like the cambelt / engine mounting has to be removed to gain access, are there any problems setting it up when refitted, timing etc? -
