MG ZS - Juddering while underway 28 Mar 2012 (Forum)
My car has suddenly started struggling for fuel ( I believe) when on the road, the symptons are like having kangaroom petrol. If i drop a gear and rev the engine it appears to clear it for a short time before starting again, the fuel filter has just been changed and it was ok for about 8 miles before it started again. When going along the road, if I put the peddle down it struggles to pick up speed and wont increase at all. -
Peugeot 307 SW 2005 2.0 16v t-diesel engine- rhr - missfire 20 Jan 2012 (Forum)
There is a slight miss under acceleration and the fuel economy does'nt seem that grate at 40mpg. Have hooked it up to the snap on solus pro but no fault codes showing. However when I go into the engine managment data ,and under fuel circuit information scroll down to cylinder injection flow correction %, No 1,2 and 3 cylinders show betwee 97-100% but No 4 cylinder is showin 66.3% - 66.7% when the car is running. -
Chevrolet. - Service Parts availability 29 Sep 2011 (Forum)
I wanted to get the air/oil/fuel filters from my local dealer who is the only one for 70 miles, so having driven there, found out much to my disgust no air filters in stock, and this is a filter that filts multiple vauxhalls and chevrolets. -
renault megane - 1.9 dci starts everytime then cuts out after a few 19 Sep 2011 (Forum)
During that 3 seconds you can rev it freely etc as thopugh it were ruinning fine. Watching live data it doesnt seem to lose crank signal or fuel pressure, it just stops as though the ECU were requesting it. there are no fault codes etc coming up.The flywheel and sensors etc are all original to the car, timing is correct and there are no leaks or air in the fuel system. -
Ford fiesta mk 4 - Mk4 fiesta 1.25 Juddering when pulling away 7 Apr 2011 (Forum)
Hi all, I have a 1996 fiesta mk 4 1.25, only recently it's started doing this, When the car has been off for a while (e.g overnight) when I go to pull away in the morning it will judder like hell and there will be pretty much no power until it gets going, also the other problem I have is that at high revs (3500-4000) the car seems to completely drop off of power I have just brought a fuel filter so wi replace that soon but just wondered if anyone had a heads up on what it could be if it's not the fuel filter Cheers A -

The first thing i noticed was how much longer it took, followed by the amount of fuel it dispensed (56 litres) The capacity of my cars tank is 55 liotres, and the low fuel warning light had not come on.I complained at the desk & was told that customers had complained the previous day & that the pump had beel inspected overnight & the calibration checked My complaint was logged & sent to head office. -

Honda Accord Tourer (2003 - 2008) - 04 2.2 Acceleration problems 11 Apr 2010 (Forum)
I had the exhaust manifold replaced (under warranty) by Honda and 3 months ago serviced by an independant including fuel filter. There have been issues with fuel pumps etc which I have read on here but the car seems normal generally, and starts fine its just when trying to accelerate hard. There are no issues in the first two gears making me think or hope that its not a clutch issue! -
Peugeot - Expert 2.0 HDI running on fault. 29 Jan 2010 (Forum)
i have a running fault with a Peugeot expert 2.0 hdi. it starts and runs with 298 bar at the fuel rail-not fluctuating when idling. it will sit idling all day but when u switch off it runs on for 5 secs. when you try and drive it just cuts out but will start up and stay idling. i've replaced rail pressure sensor, in tank fuel pump and also fitted a re=con high pressure pump. checked all the wiring. keep getting fault code p1138. after replacing the hp pump it did run ok for about 4 hours. any ideas? -
Vauxhall Vectra C (2002 - 2008) - 04 1.9 lose of revs 26 Jan 2010 (Forum)
car has developed problem when driving along she will loose all revs for a few seconds and return again fine. egr valve, inlet mainifold, swril aculators and fuel filter have all been replaced by vauxhall and the diagonis says shes all good. ive tryed two bottles of fuel flush but its still playing about. she is still a lively car and pulls 100% rite up the revs in every gear. my heart is broke now as she is doing it more often and espically when pulling out at junctions. also i never seem to be away from vauxhall with my wages. -

Subaru Legacy and Outback Petrol (2004 - 2009) - Lumpy running on regular unleaded 16 Nov 2009 (Forum)
The user manual for Subaru Legacy 2.0 says that the car should run fine on regular unleaded (95) and it is only the turbos that need the premium fuel (98 or above). However I am finding that the performance of my non-turbo 2.0 r is brilliant with say Shell v-power but horribly lumpy with regular unleaded. Obviously I am paying throgh the nose for the premium fuel and would rather not if I could avoid it. -

Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 2006 1.6 VCT petrol engine flat spots 1 Jul 2009 (Forum)
I have been experiencing quite severe flat spots at mid range revs. initially thought it was dirty fuel but two tank fulls on the problem is still there. I have changed plugs, coil pack & air filter. I understand there is no fuel filter. Engine idles normally & symptoms appear after several miles(around 20 to 30). not keen on going to local Ford dealer as they charge the earth. -

hi i just want a bit of advice i want to buy a car as a taxi and was thinking of a honda based on that they are supposed to be reliable i would prefer the diesal based on fuel consumption but i know they have problems injectors turbo's etc i would be doing about 40,000 miles a year thats why iam considering the petrol as i know they have no problems what so ever and the money i would save in fuel consumption getting the diesal could backfire if say the turbo went then the money i would have saved is now being spent and more on fixing it so can someone help me please
