  Looks like the garage (VW main dealer) forgot to reset the service indicator. This makes me wonder what else they 'forgot' to do. My wife had a similar experience at a Nissan garage: car came back from the Main Dealer service with the windscreen washer bottle empty. Refilling this was part of the service. Stupid bloke at the garage tried to convince us that he could 'guarantee' that everything else had been done.

  I've got a new problem with the other motor now and I hope I can get a few good pointers. I've got a Range-Rover with a Nissan FD 35T 4cyl Turbo deisel engine it. The one thing I cannot find is a source of injectors or places to re-con the injectors. Loads of people say that they can do it, but when it comes to it they say the parts can't be found.

  I live in scotland so im guesing scotslaw would apply here. In April 2015 i part exchanged my car into a nissan dealership. that very day i signed all the relevant paperwork and took my new car home. When i got home i photocopied the V5 slip i was given to send off to DVLA to notify them of the sale of the car. i also photocopied the 1st class stamped envelope i was using.

  Took my Almera in today for its annual service, at a franchised Nissan dealer. Not in my town, but not too far away, and they are part of the same group I bought the car from. The car is 5 years old net week, and therefore 2 years out of warranty, so I should probably have gone to an independent, but I didn't.

  Shes learnt to drive in a Hyundia I20 and thats a little to small. Any thoughts on the Honda Jazz, Nissan Note etc? Any help recpomendations would be much appriciated as always from you knowlegable bunch.   Thanks Lee

  I’ve driven, and instructed, in Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, etc, but nothing that comes anywhere near the response and acceleration of the Polestar. If you’ve ever driven something like a Nissan LEAF, you’ll know it has the capability to embarrass lots of cars away from the lights, but this is LEAF multiplied by a factor of plenty. 0-60 is quoted as 4.5 seconds, and the mid-range is equally quick.

  Needs to be safe and have enough space for two buggies and some more. There are as many suggestions as there are people ... from Yaris/Auris ... Nissan ... Mazda ... to Accord ... Focus ... to Kia sportage ... so I am starting to get a little lost. I would appreciate some advice here. Yaris/Auris seem on the small side. Focus seems to have decent space and reviews.

  The dealer informed me it broke down because of its age  and that it is going to cost about £3400 plus VAT to repair because the vehicle is out of warranty. I found this very bizzare because my Nissan Almera, an automatic version is 14 years old and is still going strong without any major defects. When I contacted a gearbox specialist outside Mercedes Benz . I was informed that the A & B clases of MB usually come with nasty gearboxes , which may be true because shifting  the gear involves it moving through arches as opposing to moving in a straight line !

  The UK government needs to acknowlege what a positive contribution Honda has made to the UK car industry. Unlike Nissan, Tata - Land Rover Ford and GM they have taken no government handouts while supporting thousands of jobs in Swindon. And what a way to treat an honourable company. After their input to BL in helping them to make their best built and reliable car the Acclaim they were deprived by the government into buying the remains of the company.

  It must be easy enough for a disaabled person to get in and out of. For example I struggle with a Fiat 500, Struggle with a Nissan Note, but find a most otther hatchbacks easy. Thanks :)

  A friend has one in Premium spec and I find it a nice motor, doubly so for the money he paid for it. So now - as a previous long time admirer of the Nissan Quasqai (spelling?) I am quite tempted by the ix35 too. The equivalent spec on a Quasqai or Sportage seems to be about £3k more which surprises me. Looking at about 1 year old with <15k on the clock, 1.7 diesel manual in SE Nav or preferably Premium spec.

  For instance the top of the range Carens is not available as an automatic or with 16" wheels and the next down in the range is not available with SAT NAV. And no automatic model is available with a petrol engine. I have also tried the Nissan Qashqai, Peugeot 3008, and Ford C Max and all of these have similar restrictions on the combination of options available. Can anybody recommend an SUV that has soft suspension and has a petrol/automatic engine option, please?

    I've been spending an average of about a grand a year on repairs alone whilst my Dad spends about a hundred on his (cramped) Nissan Almera. So my question is - Civic or Golf or ……..? Is there another model I should be considering like maybe the Skoda Octavia?

  Spoke to him today, and he told me that he just returned from a tour of the Wester Isles ( Western Isles ? ), driving that cherry picker ( looks like it's based on a Nissan Cabstar ) from London, having left London at 4pm , getting to Thurso (?) at 8am next day, no rest. He did a day there before driving to the Isles via a 6 hour ferry crossing somewhere. His company would have got the work as they were cheapest .

  Today I had an accident for the second time in m life and for the second time this year A man cut me up on a roundabout then stuck his brakes on, I just touched is back bumper but he and his passenger have whip lash injuries - luckily for me I have a witness a retired policeman Someone tried to break into it a few months ago My mum had a Vauxhall Carlton, I think it was the mark 2, D reg. We went to buy a Nissan but it got sold and the sales man offered her this big red gleaming car at a bargain It ran really well but just out of warranty it engine died, the replacement engine also failed two years later.

• Buying untaxed car from a dealer 16 Mar 2009 (Forum)
  I've spotted a couple of cars online which I'm interested in, but looking at the online tax database has thrown up some questions. Firstly, a Nissan Primera, from a dealer with RAC Approved status. The tax status is as follows: Date of Liability = 01 01 2010 Vehicle Status = SORN Not due The car is MOT'd until Jan 2010 Should I be suspicious of the fact it's currently SORN'ed?
