  All investigations have failed to find a cause - compressions are fine, no obvious bore damage, no leaks, the cylinder head is good and the fuel injectors have been replaced though they were firing properly anyway. A Renault specialist advised that the engine management showed nothing wrong and suggested that a pattern part coil was a common cause of misfires on Renault engines. They replaced the coil for the affected cylinder, the second coil and the HT leads were later replaced but still the problem persists.

• Renault Clio - Consumer act 2015, refund due to fault 18 Aug 2017 (Forum)
  To cut a long story short, the pre reg Clio that I bought has been loosing coolant since I took delivery of the car in march, my local Renault service department was unable to find the fault and I was sent away saying no fault found,  Since then I have contacted Renault customer care and made a complaint and recorded the water loss over a 5 day period by taking photos and recording the mileage.

  Hi, First post so be gentle :) In Honest John's summary of 'Bad' things with the Renault Megane Hatch Dynamique 1.9dCi, it lists an issue that are uncannily like the problems that we are have encountered that has turned a £17k car into a worthless one in just over 3 years. The Question is this; If the Renault Megane has a known issue, as shown below, then shouldn't Renault rectify these issues unequivocally?
