considering several cars jag ,volvo vs infinity... 6 Jan 2021 (Forum)
Hi i am considering at the moment either JAGUAR XF or Xe, diesel since they are only used option and very popular or infinity sedan for example infinity m or their suvs, fx.ex petrol;. my question is in what things Jaguar is better or worse compared to that brand is Jag more reliable and more cheap to maintain and more parts available or i really want to make the right choise. Do u think Jaguar is better than, Honda,Lexus ,mazda,,Infinity or Volvo and if yes why : ) At the moment i am considering all of these brands so its hard , but here is some info, regarding honda i must get old honda, lots of miles, and some issues, in the end it will cost same price as jaguar xf 2014 year, and honda will be year 2009 , petrol manual 2.4 engine, Lexus are extremely expensive, i will be able to afford lexus with no option at all maximum year 2011 hybrid IS, no option at all, mazda i can get cx 3 year 2015 i think, petrol 150 hp very slow and not so high end equipment - and lack of service history. -

Lexus, BMW - Coming out of a company car to an allowance 1 Apr 2011 (Forum)
Temporarily I will be driving our '52 1.6 Focus but that will shortly have to go to my Wife as we have a baby on the way in June and will need a second car. My Wife and I both really like the Lexus RX series - great spec, nice cabin to spend time in, not much road noise but quite a high cost of entry and heavy on petrol. I have a nagging feeling that saving money at the moment (Or at least not borrowing as much) may be the most prudent course of action given all that's going on in the world. -
Lexus IS250/220D (2005 - ) - Windscreen Replacement 1 Oct 2008 (Forum)
I mentioned to the operator that I had a heating element at the bottom of the windscreen that defrosts the wipers to stop them getting stuck to the glass and she said that this feature was already noted on their database for my model of car. This is a feature of all new shape Lexus IS's. The mobile replacement guy came and replaced the windscreen but then noticed that there were quite a lot of scratches on the glass that he had thought were just grime when he fitted it. This was a fair mistake because they really do look like little blobs of dirt but in fact are probably from where the pane has been laid face down on a concrete floor or similar. -

However the 'Bread and Butter' market is dominated by Hyundai/Kia/Honda/Toyota and Lexus, Jaguar and Mercedes seem to be the luxury car of choice. -
Lexus LS, Lexus RX450h - I tried LS500h and RX450h, here's what happened 30 May 2023 (Forum)
I made this post yesterday: https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/181492/lexus-ls---2020. It got some useful responses, and I figured that my experience might help someone else later if they are in a similar boat. I currently drive a 2007 Lexus GS300 and have been considering upgrading to a LS500h / 7 series / S class. -
Honda Jet 27 Jul 2006 (Forum)
I see Honda have now started making their own plane and engines (with GE). I understand Lexus are also using their V8 in a small prop plane also. The flying car can't be too far away!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5216972.stm -

BMW - BMWs in the snow 15 Jan 2011 (Forum)
stating the obvious - being fwd, an Audi will get thru tricky weather conditions whereas rwd BMWs, Mercs, Lexus etc will struggle. I know the quantities of snow we've got don't happen often, but rwd is mostly useless when it does. For me, it's no contest. -

Diesel Additives 6 Apr 2008 (Forum)
I've had my first diesel for four months (Lexus IS 220d) . I see a lot of guys use diesel fuel additives, at the car first service I asked the service manager about using one, and he advised against it. I would appreciate your thoughts. DJ -

Infiniti Cars 25 Apr 2007 (Forum)
The luxury 'Lexus-type' division of Nissan only seems to have overseas websites - the UK equivalent is a computer company, which could make a lot of dough!! Anyway, has anyone driven an Infiniti yet? Apparently they're coming here next year. -

Skoda Fabia (2000 - 2007) - VRs Residuals. 25 Oct 2007 (Forum)
Apologies for going off on a tangent here...this may be of interest to you BobbyG Last Saturday I borrowed my ex's IS200 SportCross and called in at her local Lexus dealer on her behalf with a query regarding the wheels which were in a dreadful condition...she wondered whether there was a 'recall' on them. Anyway, they had a pair of 2005 Skoda Fabia VRs which had just been part exd, 23k miles on the clock, looking in as new condition.
