I'd have fined him £5000, sentenced him for 2 years and banned him for driving for 5 years. Also, made him re-take his test and go on a course to find out the risks of using a mobile phone, or 2, while driving.

  I accidently put 6 litres of unleaded in the tank than filled it up with 50 litres of diesel.  I drove 55 miles motorway home.  The car seems to drive fine - however, do you think it's safe to continue to drive or should I have the tank drained tomorrow?  If so, should we take over 50% out or do you think it should be completely drained?  Would adding lubricant make a difference?

  Morning all I'm pretty sure the thrust bearing has gone on my car. It drives and changes gear ok but when the clutch is pressed to change gear it squeals and there is a smell of burning. What I want to know is how long can I drive it like this? I am getting a new car in a few weeks and do no want to spend money on the Picasso only to get rid of it in a few weeks!

  Took a 2008 Audi A4 1.9 Tdi for a test drive. No smoke apparent at start up but about 2 mins into the drive when we stopped at a set of lights we noticed a lot of white/grey smoke coming from exhaust. As we contined the test drivev(approx 30 mins) there was no further smoke.

  Does anyone have any advice about loud crack type noises that seem to come from the dashboard or windscreen struts of the convertible we have just bought? It is a BMW series 1 car and the noises are quite disconcerting when driving over a bump or going round doundabouts? It is mainly in the first 10 miles of driving a journey and the car is only about 10 months old. Any advice would be appreciated.

  Overheated for the first time last night. Engine still driving,it has genuine 80,000 miles been told head gaskett gone? Car drives fine and has normal oil consumption but heavy petrol consumption and  loses water from filler tank for radiator no leaks from hoses or radiator?

  i have  a 1.0 litre auto l regd nissan micra that lost accelaration when i was driving the started to do a kangaroo hopping motion the rac towed me to a garage who told me the cat could be blocked so had a whole new exhaust  but it is still doing it will drive fine when cold but when warm does exactly the same thing again

Someone also told me that because I drive coaches, that I am banned from the outside lane IN MY OWN CAR and restricted to the same speed as the coach because I would not be competent at typical third lane motorway speeds in my own car.

  Strange noise coming from direction of fanbelt and pulleys at low speed and when reversing.. Local garage investigated and noted that noise disappeared when drive belt removed and they have fitted newcrankshaft pulley and drive belt.   My friend has a resitrction on her licence that she needs to wear glasses. My driving licence dosn't have any restrictions but I would not be able to drive I don't think without my glasses, I would never even dream of doing it. Do you prefer front or rear wheel drive, what is more useful, speed or acceleration, which ones handle a load best, or inspire confidence at speed, petrol or diesel, even which ones are still comfortable at the end of a shift?
