  Sometimes it comes back after a few miles, sometimes after a few days. No apparent pattern or cause. Interestingly though, whenever it drops out, the radio volume decreases! My model does not have ABS, and according to Haynes the speed sensor is on top of the transmission, but I have been unable to locate it. Please does anyone have any advice on how best to proceed from here - many thanks :-)

  I believe the report emerged from a well known large motorists retail chain that we’ve all for sure visited over the years for car wax, oil, wipers , car radios etc. Surely a car will easily last 13 years if it is properly looked after with services,MOTs, etc?….

  Centre console and switches looks top class. Never thought !'d say that but the base model (which doesn't have DAB radio)  is a positive steal at £17995. HMMM!

  Hi (not a fiesta radio code thread, woop) Took my wife's splash for the annual service and was advised rear shock absorber requires replacement but also that the o/s drive shaft seal is leaking and requires repair My wife has a friend with a similar agila and hers had to have a replacement gear box.

  Staying getting intermittent and worsening radio reception on my 2011 ST. This is virtually the same car as Audi A4 avant so tracked problem down to a very problematic aerial booster used by Audi, loads about this on Audi forums. SEAT confirm the same part number is available to order for my car.

  Hi, I have just bought a 10 mth old Ford Focus Titanium Nav with a Sony DAB radio / Sat Nav unit - all id great except that when I try to enter a postcode in the form of XX1 4XX the unit insists that I need to enter XX11 1XX it will not accept or let me enter a two letter single number code.

  Ideally I'd prefer not to splash out on a whole new media system. I'm happy to use my mobile / ipod for music, and would prefer the buttons also contolled the radio or inbuilt CD, if this is possible. Thanks for any suggestions!

  Are there any precausions i need to take, ie disconnecting the car leads and what possible problems may arise (radio code aside). As soon as I get the thing going first stop a new battery, any recommendations? Any advice gratefully recieved.

  Dealer service at Howards of Carmarthen truly excellent! Poor points, seats VERY firm, poor visibility for clock and radio display. No boot light, relies on reflection from number plate lights which come on when boot is opened. Truly appalling dipped beam lights, but main beam is fine

  Radio 2's homwork query today at 6.45pm was 'at what speed would a car cover a set distance using the least fuel?' The answer was rather flimsy, but apparently 52-56 mph [ignoring all the car variables etc].

  Basic spec, Fabia=£12k ; Ceed=£13K Main criterion is comfortable and quiet motorway driving where I can put on the radio and hear it - not the wind, engine, road surface etc. Which of my chosen 2 is the better at this? One factor: Fabia delivery time=6 mnths; Ceed=2 mnths!! Cheers, Dave

  My interior light, electric mirrors, rear/front windscreen heaters, front intermittent wiper, rear wiper and warning lights alarm have all stopped working. I have also noticed when sometimes i change gear the car jerks and the radio goes very loud just for a split second. The warning door light sometimes flashes and the central locking can lock and unlock whilst i am driving. Has anybody got any ideas please!!!!!!

  When the blower fan is switched on there is the sound of what sounds like broken or dried leaves moving about behind the dashboard behind the radio. I have tried blowing them out with the fan on full (diffrents positions) but this has not worked. Please can anyone point me towards a  remedy ?

  Hi, I've been told in the past that the way that the Audi stereos are powered is that they receive a constant feed from the battery and when the ignition is turned off would continue to supply power to the radio. If there is no demand for power then the stereo cuts off its demand for power itself. Hence, if you install a handsfree car kit to an Audi and re-use/piggyback-off the stereo power supply that the battery will drain and eventually go flat.

  Whilst coming to terms with all the gadgets and creature comforts which make driving easier I am thinking what you actually need on a car, what can you do without? Do you need a rev counter or air con, heated seats and radios, turbos, multi changers cruise control etc etc. any market for a car with no frills? just the bits to make it go and stop and lights to show you the way at night. when its hot wind down windows and when its cold you just wear extra clothes.

  Hi there, I have recently purchased a Fiat Punto 1.2 Active Sport 03 plate and it has a cassette/radio in, well i do not own any cassettes and want to put a CD player in, does it have to be the same make that is in now - blaupunkt - or can i put any in, because the size of them are quite big and i don't want there to be a big gaping hole.

  On the way home I noticed that the small display panel in the centre of the dash had been wiped clean. The display is for radio/time/cd information normally. My housekeeping is not all it could be, I know, but why clean it? Were they so offended by my lack of dusting or can they access some sort of extra diagnostic info by way of a hidden menu?

  Evening, Taking my boys to school this morning, it came on the radio that around 20% of all children think their parents drive to fast. So, I ask the question. "Do I drive to fast"? The answer was no from both of them so Im sitting there feeling quite good about it.
